I have never purchased anything on E-Bay, so I could use a little advise on whether this is a good buy or not. It's way more than I usually pay for a plant, but I really love this Begonia. I started with two yardsale plants, Angel wing and Cane, and now I have many started from cuttings from those two plants, but they all look the same!! I need some new colors in my mix.

PS How would they ship a plant that large?

Do you buy on E-Bay?
Hi,
I am not saying it isn't worth the price but it is in a 6" container which isn't all that large. You might want to check with some of the other places that sell the plant to see if it a good price or not.
Thanks Makshi, I'll do that. I was just awestruck by that beautiful pink! LOL

I've never purchased from this vendor but here are my ebay experiences.
I've made 5 plant purchases from 4 different vendors and was pleased with three of them. The other two were doa within a week and it was obvious when I got them that was where they were headed. Of the three I was pleased with, one, I found out later, I could have purchased locally. The other two were items I could not get locally and was happy I could get them at all. More than likely I'll never buy another plant on ebay unless it is something I just have to have, the vendors have excellent ratings and I am feeling lucky. Books are another story. I often buy gardening books online and have gotton some awesome deals.
I have bought different plants from ebay too. You
have to ask yourself about the availability of this plant froma nursery where there won't be the cost of shipping too. If there isn't anything anywhere else it's a good buy but expensive for a 6 inch pot.
You can post that you'll trade for cuttings on the plant trade forum, someone on here might have a couple of cuttings to share with you for postage too.I've had pretty good luck on e-bay,make sure you ask if they will replace it if it dies, some will as long as you pay the postage, some will without you sending the postage also.Jody
I have bought a number of plants from Robin and I have been pleased with my dealings with her, and the plants have been awesome! She is a member on Daves...
And she has a great guarantee!

well, you have probably got me hooked, I just ordered my first plant from Robin
okay I'm curious how do I find Robin?
I haven't bought from Robin, but her feedback score is very good. To see what those who have bought from her have to say, click on the number behind her name on the auction page. That may help you make your decision.
We have bought and/or sold a couple of thousand times on ebay, (not plants), and have found the feedback to be a reliable way to judge a seller. I don't buy unless they have at least 99% positive feedback and the comments favor what I'm looking for in my purchase.
Good luck!
Chops
Thanks nothing I'm looking for though.darn.Jody
