First it was african violets, then hoyas, then ferns, then succulents and now bromeliads! The only method to my madness is that I prefer houseplants in general... (sigh) I wish I could settle on an addiction already!
I just can't pick an addiction (sigh)
Are you calling yourself an OmniAddict? Well, you have good taste in addictions.... Hope you don't catch the Eucalyptus Addiction!!!!
Carol
Oh no, TammyTN, I think I'm following in your footsteps, but in a different order! First African Violets, and recently it's been succulents, and after we move I've been planning on getting some hoyas...
See, you just need to face the fact that you've *multiple* addictions....like me!
I say, at least it's *plants* and not destructive things that I'm addicted to!
Hey it could be worse! It's not bad for you, cut your lung capacity, or give you DT's! OK, maybe plant DT's but they're not so bad!
Nicole
I am sick and went to the store for soup and bought two plants. LOL but hey, one is a rope hoya that I have looked everywhere for! Yep, I'm a multi-plant type of gal. AND I LOVE IT!
You're in the right place here at DG. We understanding addictions.
Pardon me while I head out to get a hosta fix.... :)
I think hubby may be ill at me - I'm supposed to be "grounded" from buying plants. OOPS! He secretly loves the way they look all over the house though. What is it with men and money anyway? It's just paper til you get something cool with it -- like a plant. LOL! Just teasing, I should probably cut back on my buying for awhile and concentrate on the ones I have.
Alohahoya, *perks up* Eucaluptus? Is it for trade? *big smile*

HAHA! Tammy, at least plants are cheaper than some other hobbies! My husband is into motorcycles, golf, oh and I'm sure there is some other expensive hobby I am forgetting...
Ooooh...I love growing Eucalyptus during the summer ....but I've tried overwintering *several* times and it *just don't work for me*!
Grounded?!? If my DH said that there'd be *WAR*!!!! (lol!)
He has Softball....and those bats aren't cheap so he keeps quiet about my plants.
Hey, Tammy....how are your Brugs doing?
:( They don't seem to like me much. I'm still V less, but hopeful!
Patience m'dear, lol!
You'll have 'V''s a plenty before you know it! If not this year, next year for sure!
Ha! The DW sure enjoys the comments from visitors and drivebys but she can't stop herself from taking a few verbal jabs at me when UPS delivers another box or I'm digging up more grass! It really gets her panties in a bunch when I'm telling her I'm broke while unloading more bags of potting soil or a bed full of mulch, roll of wire or what have you. :)
Tammy,
My ex once told me not to buy any more... Couple wks later, got an AV at store when older DD (now 19) was 2 or 3 and didn't tell. But, a month or so later, we were sitting at the table, AV was on windowsill and she popped out with:
Daddy, you told Mommy not to buy any more, but she bought that one!
As for addictions: it has always been roses! Then, after I got my property, had always planned for some fruit trees and such, so had to put in fruit trees, berries, grapes. Of course, those peonies already here needed company so I had to invite Sarah B and Karl R over... Bugs' Brugs looked sooooo cool, just got my first one... My lilacs needed company too... invited in some white ones and looking for others... As for addictions, I have seen what drinking and drugs do, so wouldn't want to expose my addictive personality to those!! ~ Suzi :)
At least your addiction does go to beautify your home and garden, even though you sure can't claim that it's a secret. LOL Dotti
I can keep anyone else's secrets, but apparently not my own, LOL! My life is an open book, or in this case, a soon filling up yard... ~ Suzi :)
