Wow Marc....you must have a beautiful outdoor garden with all those different colors and plants.

Share more pics when you get a chance.

Fritch, TX(Zone 6b)

Beautiful, thank you for sharing...

I like your whimsy, very nice!

Marc,
When I read the word "rainbow", I thought you had both sun and rain yesterday up in Seattle.
Yesterday here in Oregon, it was so unreal with the weather. We had rain (poured), sun, hail, thunder, and lightening all in a few hours. Then I went to a wedding outside just after it had poured. So the weather was horrible.
But to see your pretty pictures, that is so cool of the way you did it.
Very nice.

Lovely! Is that a BLUE clematis? You must share the name of it!

Seattle, WA(Zone 8b)

Nope, no clematis....the blue 'star' is a lithodora.
Glad you like the collage :-)

That's so great! I am putting in my regular drainage, shade bed this/last week. First, I wanted a "hummingbird garden", started collecting plants. Then I decided that I wanted a blue garden, started collecting again. Then I got a bunch of fun, unexpected gifts. So, of course I got a little nutty with the tiller, and have oodles of bed space. I've now decided its going to be a big rainbow! Is an arc-ing space, my pink-yellow seems to want part sun, my blue/violets seem to be deeper shade stuff. Just sorta fell into place. Now, I stumble upon that fabulous little tidbit there. Very cool. Feels like a sign I'm headed the right direction............

....AND I saw a rainbow while out and about today.

Seattle, WA(Zone 8b)

Sounds wonderful LuLu. You must send pix as it progresses.
Glad you liked the collage. :-)

Well, it will take time. My new hostas are very small, and many of my blooming stuffs were bare-root aquisitions. I'll probably be shy till next year. :)

Marc, what a neat idea, and you carried it out wonderfully. What a great collage, and of course lovely flowers.

Daisyruffles, our weather today was just like yours. Temp 76, Thunder, Lightning, a little rain. Here is a photo taken a couple of hours ago after the sun came back out. Did also see the lower part of a sky rainbow.

Great picture! You must be a friend of Roy G. Biv, to have arranged it so nicely. I haven't seen a rainbow since I took this picture, and boy, do we need the rain!!!

Thank you Mary :-)

Newark, OH(Zone 5b)

Marc, I just saw this -- what a cool collage! Many of my blooms are pooping out in the heat, plus it's almost past my garden's peak bloom time.

I need to get more late-summer bloomers planted and trade my sun stuff for plants that like part-shade. The yard's looking pretty floppy, LOL. Maybe in a year or two I will have a rainbow. ;)

Seattle, WA(Zone 8b)

I hope you find your own rainbow gardenwife....it's a great feeling :-)

That's beautiful. What a neat way to show your plants. I have to learn how to do it.

Seattle, WA(Zone 8b)

:-) Thanks...I use a program called KAI's Photo Soap 2....but I'm sure many other programs will allow you to build a collage.

Riker: I printed out the page and we're going to my daughter (the artist, the musician, the mom and mom-to-be) so she can help me design the colors for a rainbow of daylilies, THANKS TO YOU!
