Does anyone have a suggestion how I can control the mildew on my thumbelina zinnias. I'm trying to water them at the bottom so I don't get the leaves wet but they still seem to have a lot of mildew. Any suggestions? Thanks
Mildew on Zinnias
Spray them with a solution of 1/2cup of any milk product per gallon of water. Rumor has it that will help with mildew. I've been using it on my 'Butterfly Blue' scabiosa this year, and no mildew yet! I'm not sure that it does much for the affected leaves, but it reduces the spread. It needs to be applied weekly or more if rain comes. I've also heard 'Wilt-Pruf' helps, as it coats the leaves and makes a protective barrier.
