What could be the volume of my tank?

Mysore, India(Zone 10a)

I have posted elsewhere some details of my new project on rain water collection. So, a tank was built. I want to know how much water this tank holds. It measures 52x45x68 inches. This is the inner measurement of this cuboid tank. I want to know how many litres of water it can hold. Can I get some help?

If you have a litre measure, find the number of cubic inches in that and divide it into the 159,120 inches in your tank - right? (math is not my subject, but I think this works).

Hi Dinu, Kathleen is right - 159,120 cubic inches which equals 2,607.5 liters.

Here's a handy calculator :)

In inches/gallons- length x width x height then divide total by 231.

The tank is 688 gallons

Thanks very much for the help, friends. 2,600L is a pretty good amount! The link Dea has given is also useful.

Yesterday's rain from afternoon till night was steady and I was so glad that this tank got full when I saw the level in the morning.
