Heuchera in a Pot

I just bought a Heuchera (Silver Lode) and put it in a very large ceramic pot that has about 1 inch thick walls. The garden center said it would do OK if I make sure I insulate it in the winter...another person said, move it into the garage. I'm in zone 4. Does anyone have any input. I'm wondering now if I should have did something else.

I would move it in. For one thing if you soil is wet can't it freeze and break the pot? Mikey
