DG slow or fast today...

Working great here on dial-up, Dave.

Tried a little of everything -- plant files, watchdog, journals, pics and it's all pretty snappy. The only difference I really noticed was 400x600 pics load much faster that larger sizes -- which makes sense, but is worth mentioning so folks know.

mine just ISNT working. I can get the home page to load but when I click on forums or mail. I keep getting technical difficulty pages. Then something does workk. then is doesnt... Working VERY intermittently...

Very spotty for me. Sometimes pages load, other times not. Thumbnails and photos are sometimes missing and then work just fine.

Today when it is slow I get Loading message. Yesterday it acted as though the page had loaded instantly even though it had not.

Tried to get on DG around 11 am and only got 'page not found'. Just tried now again and it loaded immediately!

On ealier today, off for about an hour but is now going good.

Fast at the moment but slow a few minutes ago.

I made another improvement; it should be improving over the next couple hours.

Hi Dave, now my AOL connection is much faster! It's working just like explorer. This is wonderful....I sure like how fast everything is loading. Thanks!!!

Bugglets!!! well, if I had known it was bugglets I could have just mixed up a batch of dishsoap and peroxide and poured it over the cpu.

Mine just loaded on Firefox and dial-up in 137.97 jiffies. In Safari (native Mac browser) 218.04 jiffies. Both are much better than in the past!

Okay, I need to ask this question, are a few jiffies better (faster) than a lot of jiffies?

If that's true, then I need to rephrase my terminology from "Be there in a Jif" to, "be there in 152 Jiffies."

Reporting a buglet....

I click on a forum, or home, or on a thread and for a second it acts like it's loading, but then it says it's done at the bottom of the page. I ve got to click quite a few times before it finally 'takes'

Page not found appearing again...buglets are not gone.

Me, too. "Page cannot be displayed."

Its happening again . . . the whole server not found thing. *sigh*

I'm almost back to square one - getting messages cannot find the page, takes several clicks to access a thread or forum

Melody, I have been having that problem for quite some time now. I guess I just thought it was my computer. I am also having problems getting a reply box on a thread. When I click "skip to new" it goes to the bottom of the page, but no reply box is found and it isn't at the newest post.

Just happened to me on the brug forum too. Get some sleep Dave. We can wait until tomorrow since that was the scheduled time for the change anyway. I'm sure it's been a long day for you. I know I can deal with the little problems for that long.

I'm having a problem no one else here seems to have mentioned, so maybe it's my computer. Some of the threads end right at the bottom of the last post, so it's impossible to reply. Some of them, on the other hand, do have the "post a reply to this thread" block. I think this actually started for me yesterday or the day before and now I'm running into it at a rate of about one or two threads out of every five.
