Desperate Plantwives

Pocahontas, TN(Zone 7b)

Arlene,

All I want is his autographed picture inscribed something like,

"To Judy, Love of my life!! Elvis"

You would have my eternal respect if you can do this for me.

Judy

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

I will try, Judy, but Elvis is 70 now and his hands shake along with his hips!

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

Where are my brains? I'm the love of his life!!!

Auburn, AL(Zone 8a)

LOL...nuts all of ya'll are nuts. 70?! I just can't picture him old...In my mind he's still the perfect Viva Las Vegas look...hair a little longer and not so perfect...leather...*fans myself*

ohh that's way to small to drool over..

Why do we all lust after him? Why does he bring out the animal instinct in us? Was it just that he was temptation? Maybe because we all knew he loved his Momma so much and still was "naughty" somehow?

I've liked a lot of singers in my life but Elvis will always be in a class by himself!

You got that right ... There'll NEVER be another Elvis! WooHoo!

Auburn, AL(Zone 8a)

You know what draws we females to males is a funny thing. My DH just can't understand the Sean Connery. He says no way can a 75 year old man be sexy...So I guess I'm nuts cause I think he's still to die for even if he is almost 40 years older than I am.

Pocahontas, TN(Zone 7b)

Amen!!! If a man is truly appealing to women, he will be until the day he's taken from this world no matter how old.

Pocahontas, TN(Zone 7b)

Speaking of men aging.. I just saw a picture yesterday of Bill Clinton and in it he looks pitiful!!! I suppose it's due to his heart problems/surgeries.

Auburn, AL(Zone 8a)

I haven't seen him but he doesn't look like he'd age well. It's like Robert Redford, when he was younger boy was he a looker but he hasn't aged well...onnn the flip side of that though Paul Newman looks pretty darn good!

Pocahontas, TN(Zone 7b)

Good comparison and you are right about Newman also. Dang how does it feel to be told you are right so often???

Judy

Araness: I'm on your side. Sean is still a hunk! Rather have him than the Pitt anyday. Cary Grant and Clark Gable and so many others still retained their appeal right to the end. Hope DH still feels like that about me, someday, when I'm 95!

Auburn, AL(Zone 8a)

Well now..lets not be so hasty to give ol' Brad the boot. I mean if he's offerin an all...*G* Although I think given the pick of Brad Pitt and Richard Gere I'd pick Richard. I never thought he was handsome when he was younger but as he's aged he looks very..humm..*WG* nice. *wink*

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

Now now araness! You'll have to learn that as these hunks, like my DH, get older it takes them longer to do anything. THAT can be such a blessing!!!!!!

Auburn, AL(Zone 8a)

ROFL..I'm not even gonna touch that one or I'll get edited...AGAIN!

hahahahahaha!

Pocahontas, TN(Zone 7b)

Araness - without a doubt any of us would!!!

Old HUNKS, are just like weeds, they don't die, they live on in our dreams.

Nobody ages to me. I tell the DH he's very lucky. He still looks 20!

Pocahontas, TN(Zone 7b)

What a wonderful attitude to "look on the bright side".

Judy

Auburn, AL(Zone 8a)

IO1 I look 20, thin and tall...*grin*

And you have long blond hair and a gorgeous tan, right? Hmmmm.

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

Don't forget the tight abs. When the physical therapist was giving me instructions about how to exercise he said, "I want to see tight abs" - well so do I but if it hasn't happened by now I doubt that it will!

Okay, I've got that picture in my head. Boy, what a bod!

Auburn, AL(Zone 8a)

LOL...I wish! *peeks around* are we off topic of the thread? I always get in trouble for that...

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

No way! During the next hour I'll be at the post office with many boxes to send. I'll let you know of any heart throbs on the local scene.

Well, let me tell y'all what I have on my deck! I have this little tiny plant that I'm trying to propogate (I'm even trying to learn the right terms) It's sitting out there under its little tent. I used this root starter stuff (okay, I don't always call it by the right name!) *smile* and I'm soooo excited. I've only rooted a plant in a jar of water, so y'all wish me luck!

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

I do wish you luck with your plant. It's so much fun when you get something to grow and thrive!

Well, did I ever meet a hunk at the Post Office. He can put his slippers under my bed anytime: it was my DH who helped me with the packages!

Had you fooled for a second, didn't I?

Pirl, you're such a tease! You had us going there for a minute. Shame on you! *grin*

Auburn, AL(Zone 8a)

lol...reminds me of several months ago I was at the Post Office during the day and saw a guy as I was walking up through the window that I thought looked very nice (he was turned to profile) as I got closer I realized it was the DH mailing something off for work. LOL

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

Did YOU ever 'fess up?

Auburn, AL(Zone 8a)

Heck no...And let him know that I'm A) blind as a bat without my glasses or contacts and B) ditzy enough not to recognize my own husband and of course C) Still look at nice lookin guys.

*G*

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

Saint - You may be married, but you're not dead!

Auburn, AL(Zone 8a)

I agree...but I must be getting picky not as many good lookin guys out there these days

Yeah, sooo true, but I tell the DH that just cause I'm on a diet don't mean I can't look at the menu! *wink*

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

That's better than what I offered!

Auburn, AL(Zone 8a)

I've been downloading music (since DH put in a burner for me to use while mine is having issues) and I was burning CD's and it hit me that I have the strangest taste in music...I have everything from Big & Rich's Save a Horse Ride a Cowboy, Cowboy Troy's I Play Chicken With The Train, Nelly's Over & Over several songs by Eminem, Tim McGraw's Live Like You Were Dying, Velvet Revolver (entire album) Greenday's American Idiot. From just looking at everything I just downloaded you would have thought two or maybe three different people had picked the music. It drives the DH nuts sometimes that he never knows what's going to be blaring out of the stereo when he walks in the door.

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

Just keep him on his toes! It's good when a man (or woman) never knows what to expect - it shows we have many sides.

I was a big hit at the post office with all the packages I had going out. DH came with me. It's almost impossible for me to stand still - something to do with my gardening "incident". Everyone looked normal today: what's wrong?

Arlene

Auburn, AL(Zone 8a)

*G* oh he stays on his toes...poor darlin since I'm a tad..humm different without medication (this is a nice way of saying even the devil himself wouldn't want to live with me if I wasn't on meds) he always super careful. Course it doesn't help that I'm and have been premenapausal (sp) for several years, after Mom passed away two years ago the poor thing didn't know if he would come home and find me in bed, having a manic fit and cleaning with a toothbrush or screaming, crying and a total mess. He's a treasure and I love him tons..and it helps he has a nice fanny :P~

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

Nice tight buns help with a lot of things.
