A brief collage of some of the garden just after a freak thunder storm.

After the storm...............
Hey, Marc,
Your collage is so pretty! I like to do colleges with my flower and people pics for Christmas cards.
My son's name is Marc, with a "c" and that is uncommon to see at times.
You are up in the city I grew up in, good ole Seattle.
Yes, here in Oregon, we had quick a storm, but no thunder and lightening tho.
Carol
Beautiful! Did the storm do any damage? About all the damages I've had down here (about 350 miles due south of you) is to have the flowers knocked off my Camellia and off my Rhodies. But, I do have some plants in flats that are learning how to swim. Dotti
I'm glad you liked the pix. :-)
Yeah the storm ripped my wisteria off our garden shed, snapping several of the main branches. I am very sad, since this was the first year it had finally bloomed (12 years of waiting).
That is why I took the pix, I needed to feel better. :-)
Pretty pretty! Is that Iris 'Storm Center' ? Sorry to hear about your wisteria.
The iris was a surprise from a trade with Karrie in Spokane. I just love the depth of color.....reminds me of velvet.
Thanks for the kind words about the wisteria. It's far from being a gonner, so I know it will bounce back. :-)
Marc
Beautiful photos. I am also sad about the wisteria, but am sure that it will come back stronger than ever. Brave plants-even grow here in WI.
Wow Marc those are great shots. Sorry to hear about your wisteria.
Thanks Deb...got it all trimmed up and rewired, so barring another freak wind storm it should be fine ( I hope). :-)
Glad you liked the pix.
Marc
Down here in the south, when something like this stresses a wisteria...it goes gangbusters...sorta like it says 'uh oh...I'd better procreate before something else happens' This may be a good kick in the pants for it.
Marc, nice stuff. I'm about 3 weeks behind you, although I did find tiny buds on the little old R. pimpinellafolia rose this morning. The late tulips have just blossomed today and the late narcissus are in full blown blossom. The really late narcissus are still buds.
I was told by someone that if you plant a wisteria, be sure you put it where your heirs will be ok with it. I'm not planting one, but hope that your's comes back with enthusiasm!
