Slump Down In Your Chair & Tell Me All About It..... Part 3

Pocahontas, TN(Zone 7b)

http://davesgarden.com/forums/t/510186/
I started off attempting to recap the former thread but 'gave up' you'll just have to read it for yourself. However the below is how I started the thread rolling:
----------------------------------

Have you ever thought about receiving professional help? I tried to make an appointment for PA, Plant Addiction, but I never even got the opportunity to speak with a counselor. The appointment clerk asked, “are you a member of an online gardening website”. I truthfully answered, “yes, but only one, Dave’s”. Then she asked the average number of new plants I added per week, either by rooting, seed germination or purchasing. Doing my best to calculate quickly, I asked, if one of the dogs breaks off a limb and I stick it in dirt, does it counted? She promptly replied, "according to our new Plant Addiction Profile Software, you can't be helped" and the phone went silent.

With this new profile software in place, we have no choice but to try to “help” each other, so slump down in your chair, relax all parts of your body except your fingers and tell me all about it

……. maybe we can work a Trade!!!

When we left this lively group of gardeners they were discussing food - 'gator, rattlesnake, baby squid....then theres the "pasta" that really isnt pasta its sauteed octapus tentacles. Darius of course met the challenge of producing the recipes.........

So.App.Mtns., United States(Zone 5b)

So where are Mr/Mrs Slim Jim/Jane now?

Pocahontas, TN(Zone 7b)

Darius,

I can't believe you are the only one who has posted!!! lol lol

I don't know where those dang snakes are. We've seen two babies about 17 inches long, one in the drive and one up by the porch. One at the porch startled me this morning and I threw my cup of coffee at it. I suppose they have a nest up under the porch. It's low to the ground at the back of the house so we can't see up under it. We live in the middle of the woods and have a pond so what else could we expect!!!..... doesn't that just sound horrible, "a nest of snakes up under the porch".

Snakes under the porch, cats someone threw away, dogs that came to stay and woodpeckers who demand softened puppy chow for their new babies. To all that add my plants and I would say it qualifies as Judy's Jungle. All we need is some fool swinging through the woods on the grape vines doing a weird yodel!!! lol lol

Archer/Bronson, FL(Zone 8b)

Hey Judy,

You see some fool swinging through the vines, you tell him to get on home, right now, right down here. You got your own, send the stray to me.

LOL

:^))))

Tulsa, OK(Zone 7a)

i really like Jungle themes so sure would like the vines and the swinger to!!!!.. well maybe..

Pocahontas, TN(Zone 7b)

ROTFLOL

Bob is uploading more pictures for Trois, over on the Wildlife Forum, because he thinks maybe Slim Jim is a Cottonmouth..... but I don't think so cause he really isn't mean and I've always heard Cottonmouths are....... What am I doing defending a snake!!!

waukesha, WI(Zone 5a)

ROFLMAO!! More snakes!! I'll settle for chicken thank you. Dad used to try any kind of wild game, bear, possum, if you could shoot it, it got invited home for dinner, Ewwwwwwwwww. Greasy gamey tough meat. Are there snake traps? I wouldn't set foot on the ground until they all left home. Gives me goose bumps and I'm not even really scared of snakes. But that's too many!

Was talking to DD this morning, we agreed that men have a tendency to "mark" their territory...I just dumped a pile of old mail on DH's recliner in the den, his golf score card from yesterday, two magazines that have been on the bathroom floor for a while, and some odd little chrome thingies, they just leave a TRAIL where ever they go. And they have selective vision, don't see dirt or dust...however, on the bright side, don't generally complain about it. But don't move one of their tools...! (I hide my own little tool box ever since I found my nice new drill in the garage covered in grease.)

Maybe you could rent a mongoose?

Pocahontas, TN(Zone 7b)

meezersfive - Don't tell me your DH's first name is Bob too!! Cause he sounds so much like mine. A point in my Bob's favor is he is a wonderful cook. Can turn out a perfect pie crust in about 10 minutes and if I don't cook it, he does. He makes BBQ Ribs which can't be beat.

Well I'm off to bed, been a busy day.... I hope I don't dream about snakes.

MollyMac, if the "swinger" does appear, is nice acting and lookin, I'll bag him and bring him down!

LOL LOL

Gulfport, MS(Zone 8a)

Pocahontas, TN(Zone 7b)

HAIR!!!!!

Gulfport, MS(Zone 8a)

Golden, CO(Zone 5b)

As in washing the snake out of?

Chicago, IL(Zone 5b)

Hair.........let me see...................

I have a DH that is also named BOB......he doesn't have any hair.........

When we were about to get married, this is the second time around the trailer for both of us, he told me, "I can be good in one place......the garage or the bedroom...pick one!!!

So I did.

We have been very happily married for 19 years.

Hap

Pocahontas, TN(Zone 7b)

Judy

Pocahontas, TN(Zone 7b)

Gracious, I either lost 5 days or gained 2 when I was in bed with my back. All yesterday I thought it was Friday and this morning hearing the regular speaker on "Talk Radio" I asked Bob what day it was, duh!! I think I'm straight now, maybe. It is Thursday, right? I don't even have the excuse of having taken strong pain medicine, just over the counter stuff for me. Somehow I had it in my mind that Lynne (lmelling) had her Chemo treatment on Thursday and since she had it yesterday I thought it was Friday.. now you know that just does not make sense. I'm going back to bed.

(Who's on first??? I might be, I couldn't say for sure)

Judy

LOL

So.App.Mtns., United States(Zone 5b)

Judy, don't get into the subject of HAIR by bringing Medusa into it, LOL.

Golden, CO(Zone 5b)

Hey, I don't know about that. I married an Italian mechanic. Attention to detail, is attention to detail, no matter where you are!

Pocahontas, TN(Zone 7b)

Well forget hair, doesn't seem to be a good topic. I'm rush cause I have 14 things to do "right now" but I had to stop to tell you all this story.....

The Blacksmith was working on my friends horses and she invited him to have lunch with us. He was asked about his new neighbors ....

Well I was out riding and you know that wood fence they have around their pool, well the horse path around the lake goes close by there. When John and I were riding we happened to look over and being on the horses we was taller than the fence. They weren't wearing anything but sun visors. Why do you think they were wearing them visors?

I thought I was going to fall out of my chair, he just pass right over the "no clothes" as if he didn't notice .... anything but the visors.

Gulfport, MS(Zone 8a)

***making mental not to take off visor next time, lol...

Off to get some brugs in the ground, its either plant them or trash them, i cant keep up with the watering of these boogers, lol.

Golden, CO(Zone 5b)

Ouch. Think of the sunburn potential!

Chicago, IL(Zone 5b)

I didn't pick the garage......

Archer/Bronson, FL(Zone 8b)

It only hurts when you go to sit down with a pair of jeans on. heehee

Not that I would know anything about THAT, mind you.

:^)))

Pocahontas, TN(Zone 7b)

MsJen by all means leave the visor inside the house, your face won't get tanned!! lol lol

Gulfport, MS(Zone 8a)

Which reminds of the first time i tanned, well attempted to tan, more like burnt to a crisp, in a thong, lol....oh boy, man alive, i never would've guessed, lol.
I wore skirts for about 3 months, i think, lol

Pocahontas, TN(Zone 7b)

ROTFLOL, ROTFLOL My back is almost well don't make me hurt it again!!!

We are all such dead-heads today. I went back to bed but I was afraid to stay there, afraid I'd lose another 5 days. That could get frightening!!

Sequee is home bound with her foot and on pain meds I suppose. That must be why she isn't posting witty tidbits. For some reason that reminded of the song "80's Ladies"..... We know which one you are MSJen!!!

So.App.Mtns., United States(Zone 5b)

"If Ya Got It, Flaunt It" LOL

Pocahontas, TN(Zone 7b)

Gosh MSJen I forgot you're a young one. You probably don't even know this song, but I bet Darius has hear it. It's one of my favorites.

Eighties Ladies:
K T Oslin. We were three little girls from school.
One was pretty, one was smart,
And one was a borderline fool.
Oh, she's still good looking,
That woman hasn't slipped a bit.
And the smart one used her head,
She made her fortune
And me, I cross the border every chance I get.

We were the girls of the 50's,
Stone rock and rollers in the 60's,
And more than our names got changed,
As the 70's slipped on by.
Now we're 80's ladies:
There ain't been much these ladies ain't tried.

We've been educated, we got liberated,
And that's complicating matters with men.
Oh, we've said "I do" and we've signed "I don't",
And we've sworn we'd never do that again.
Oh, we've burned our bras and we've burned our dinners,
And we've burned our candles at both ends.
And we've got some children who look just like,
The way we did back then.

Oh, but we're all grown up now.
All grown up, none of us can tell you quite how.

We were the girls of the 50's,
Stone rock and rollers in the 60's.
Honey, more than our names got changed,
As the 70's slipped on by.
Now we're 80's ladies:
There ain't been much these ladies ain't tried.

A - My name is Alice, I'm gonna marry .
We're gonna sell apples and live in Arkansas.
B - My name is Betty, I'm gonna marry Bobby,
We're gonna sell beans and live in Brazil.
C - my name is Connie, I'm gonna marry Charlie,
We're gonna sell cars and live in California.

I've liked K T Oslin ever since I saw a special on her and while in her travel bus in jeans she said, "I clean up real good" LOL.

Don't know that song, though I think I would!

Gulfport, MS(Zone 8a)

ahem, and which one would i be? lol

Pocahontas, TN(Zone 7b)

The pretty one of course. I'm assuming since I don't know what you look like

Oh, she's still good looking,
That woman hasn't slipped a bit.

You thought I was going to say the "borderline fool", nope that's me!!!
"And me, I cross the border every chance I get"

I'm like Jimmy Carter, don't actually cross the border, but have lusted in my heart many times to do it!!!
