Okay, it's agreed, everyone here is funny and thirsty for more fun. You make the decision Jnette, it's your thread, and obviously the best, continuous thread I've read. Lots of fun, getting to know all of you!!!
Okay, Jnette, you got me - what in the bleep does WLYAK mean?? I'm awful with those initial thingys, it took me hours to figure out what 'TTYL' meant, and I cheated and asked, whew!! Only thing I could figure is: Walk Like You Are King
Somehow, I don't think I'm correct....
Monika's book regarding soil
LOL - I was wondering too Sherry. It even took me a couple scans to figure out MG.
lets see... WLYAK will yak at you later? some how I don't think I'm correct either.
I agree with Sherry, your the boss of this thread Jeanette!

I agree with Sherry, your the boss of this thread Jeanette!
Blaine, I went to the link you posted...It is seed snatchin! This place just keeps getting better. Just when I think I'm all alone in these things...Seed snatchin...LOL I love it.
Rj
You guys are so funny!!! rj, what does LOL mean??? LOL !! I love the ones you guys, Sherry and rj came up with. WLYAK, will let you all know. I just hate to give this up, you guys are so much fun. rj and Blaine we love your pictures. Let us know if you do a side thread or whatever or however they do it.
I will send Dave a message and see what he thinks. WLYAK. LOL.
Jeanette
LOL is laugh out loud.
I've loved every minute (er line) of it.
sidney
Yeah, I know. Think that is the one almost everybody knows. So glad others have joined in.
Jeanette
RJ, RJ, Ione is spelled with an I. eye. not Lone. Ione. LOLLOLLOL.
Jeanette
hahahahahaah....hahahah..
wiping the tears..where is ione then? Rj
Another guess: Will Let You All Know ?????
The thing I really like about this thread, is all of you, and you are fast enough to be funny but not fast enough to be over my head, lol. Lone WA, I'm ROTF, and I knew it was an 'I' because I have a friend named Ione McClure...
OOh....Sherry..I just got ROTF...and I'm ROTF...more tears...rj
You guys are a riot. Sherry I say WLYAQ!! That is what I do. LOL. I am so bad I can't even remember what the initials are much less know what they mean. I had to keep scrolling up to spell WLYAK to change it.
Rj, it is no fair how these ungarden types have the big back yards. My guy has one 3 times my size. And it is empty. Not only that, he gets into a knot if my stuff hangs over the fence. You would think he would be thrilled, it is a living screen that he has to do nothing to. I even offer to come over to prune it on his side and clean up the mess. My side nighbors love the madness. She says the more wild the better. I keep buying her great things to plant so I can enjoy them. LOL
Rj, yes, I just reach in and grab a handful of MG and drop it on the soil. Then water it in. I water the plant first though, then add the MG then water that in. I do not water it too much though after I add the MG because I do not want the MG to be washed out. If you get your hands wet, they will be aqua blue at the end.
Kell, it is unfair. I even started a -buy the next door neighbors house fund- but it keeps getting put into the -keep up with your house fund! In the back of my garden I have a 3.5 foot wide 10 foot long shelf of plants that have no where to go. I am in the process of re-thinking the front, which until recently I was "banned" from doing anything. So that's a whooole lotta new space for me! It gets full blasting hot texas sun though, so I'm choosing wisely. I just snatched some Pride of Barbados seed pods down the street that will look great in the front and love the heat.
All my friends shop my place for plants! Then they bring their sick ones over here and never take them back when they're better.
I must say your fertilizing technique does sound like a cook! I do have aqua blue hands from fertilizing yesterday. It takes me a good couple hours with the gallon water containers.
Rj
Kell, I was trying to find a thread that Sherry was talking about where there was info on pruning at certain nodes? Your garden pictures are amazing. Rj
LOL,
WWWBWDG?
Jackie
Ok, answer: Where would we be without Dave's Garden?
In my case, folding laundry!
Jackie how come you just show up when we are getting ready to close this thread out? You guys were certainly all welcome to join in.

I would cut it back. If you cut it back to about 5 or 6 nodes per branch, all the nodes put out branches and it becomes full and lush. It also seems to make it grow faster.
I looks just great!
Jeanette
Jackie was just too busy getting ready for her birthday party, Jeanette. Happy Birthday Jackie!!
Rj, you say that only because you are not here in person to see what is beyond the pictures. I love how I can control what goes in them. LOL.
I hear you about your lack of land! We must decide if we should move or make an offer. We are such nesters. LOL You are lucky you had a front yard unstuffed. LOL. I am so past being overstuffed. I tell my husband if we get more land he can have grass again. He believes me.
I do not know what thead you are referring to. One of mine?? Pruning for what purpose? Pruning for winter or during the growing season or to root a sucker??
Jackie, without Dave's I would have a cleaner house, a much better garden and a happier husband. LOL. Well, maybe just a better garden. LOL
I just came back because I had not reread my post for spelling, and there was your post, Jeanette. You are a good finder. I do not even remember that post. Thanks.
Oh Rj...... I am dying for a Pride of Barbados (I have one coming to me). Is the one you have down the street yellow and orange? They come in lots of colors you know. One is PINK. LOL. Snatching is a no no around here. LOL!! You would never catch me doing that. LOL. Can you take a pic of the whole tree for me? PLEASE
Wow... you guys went nuts since my last post. Almost too hard to try and catch up, so
Thanks... you too... me too... and Amen!
That oughta cover it. ;)
rj - jump on the Weez's bus over witht the snatchers. Since brugs, I haven't been as active. I think Dyson and me were the only guys over there. Besides seeds, cuttings and plant snatchin'.. Dumpster Diving!!! The Dumpster Diving Divas, they're pros and there's no shame in their game. We're talking about getting in and digging for gold and boy do they. I've been known to lock up the brakes when something catches my eye on the curb on trash day.
(I really need to READ before posting. I promise... I graduated 4th grade)

Thanks Jeanette. I'll go to my book to make sure that the node is what I think it is! The one tree I started practicing on will be a good candidate for some noden snipin.
Kell - I was reffering to the pruning at the sixth node (is that a movie :)0 !? Your too modest re your brugs. Glad I read this- this morning- as Hudson and I (my faithful dog who is now taping on the window and sending me telepathic messages that it's time for a walk) are getting ready for our morning stroll. Camera will be in tow. Perhaps another snatch too..:) saving them from the voracious bugs!
Blaine I'll check that Weez's bus. My face felt like it had a permanent grin after visiting the seed snatchin! I have a very nice red Thai umbrella perched on a bamboo pole that I got shopping at Big Trash!
Okay- off for the walk - are we still on this thread then? I suppose I will be posting the picture of the Pride of Barbados - oh and yes red and orange!
Rj
Blaine I know what you are talking about trying to catch up on reading this forum. I signed off at dinner last night and before I went to bed came back here to the computer room to turn off the computer and just thought I would check out DG before going to bed. That was at 10. I noticed this forum was on the my "watch list" so I clinked on it. It took me a while to read 27 posts.
I am going outside to feed all my darling babies. I will probably be out there for 3 hrs. Can't wait to see how many post I will have to catch up on then. This is a great forum, so full of information. Love it.
Linda
THANKS Rj. So it is such a delicate tree. Such a pretty thing. It is calling to me. LOL I wonder if I can talk my neighbor into putting it in her front yard by the property line. LOL She still has grass.
So there is a thread here for Dumpster Diving Divas? And seeds, cuttings and plant snatchin'? And no one yells or lectures at them? Sounds like fun!! I will go look.
Rj, did you get 'yard of the month'? I cannot read the sign but it looks like it has flowers on it, congrats, what an honor!!! That is the most beautiful tree I've ever seen, what does it to in the winter, does it bloom all sumer, and where can I buy one????
Oh my gosh!!! The admin says there is a new thread but I cannot locate it. I'll bet I will have two hours of reading to catch up on when I find it, lol, but oh so true!!!
Sherry I don't find a new thread either. Where did the Admin say there is a new one. I must be over looking something.
Linda
Linda, when I posted about rj's tree, there was a tag at the top of the page that said the thread had been moved, but it didn't say were, so I've been looking for a thread with Jnette as the originator and so far have not found it. I'll keep trying!!!
I know a little while ago I posted on another thread and after I hit Send a note came up telling me "While I was typing a new post another member had posted one, for me to be sure to go back and read the last post" Now my wording could be off some but I had never seen that before could it be something new.
Linda
Yep, you nailed it, that's what the tag said, but I do not see the new thread. Let's keep looking. Could be they are hiding from you and me, ya think, lol!!!!
What they are saying is someone made a post on the thread while you were typing your post.
Ok, I started another one but I don't know how to do a link to the thread from this one. Does anyone know? You guys can keep this going to 400 if you want to. Only about 8 to go. LOL
I never even thought of that or I might have waited.
Jeanette
Jeanette, you just copy the web address from the top of your page and paste it into the thread. Dave's will make a link out of it.
New thread started here

Jnette: It will take more than eight posts for us to get the hang of it, lol...
Sherry, that was someone elses yard- Kell wanted a picture of the pride of barbados. I snatched some seeds from it and she wanted to have a pict. I took my camera along with me on our walk. You can see the branch really was accross the side walk. I think that sign was for landscaping or for sale..I don't remember.
Going to check out the new thread.
Rj
rj, you sound like you are just putting your jacket on and heading out the door to go check out the new thread. Funny.
BTW, Ione, with I, sounds like eye, is up in the Northeast mountains of Washington State. 25 miles from the Canadian border, and about 10 miles, as the crow flies across the Pend Orielle River to Idaho, and about 75 road miles from Montana.
Jeanette
Your kidding! I had it pegged for western washington. Wow it must be beautiful there.
I used to live in Boise when I was a kid..Yeah we moved alot! We used to fly into one of the forks of the Payette River and it was soooo remote, the deer weren't afraid- back then. It was wow! Rj
Rj, do you ski?? We loved the skiing there, and visited and skied there lots, until our pals divorced and moved...
I sure do...I haven't the last 5 years though. I had to have both of my hips replaced - some degenerative joint problem I'd never heard of. It will be a year in Oct for left hip - then ski city. Rj
