Help, some invisable pest is consuming my yarrow. It has stripped the leaves all the way to the bloom. Someone suggested I dust it with flour. What are your thoughts on this? Close inspection reveals nothing. Carolyn
Something is eatting my yarrow!
I've heard of flour for aphids, but they don't chew leaves. You could try some insecticidal soap with pyrethrins, or Hot Pepper Wax. The wax makes the plant unpalatable to many insects.
could it be a pest that hops?????
either way, a good neem oil soap would work. I use Bon Neem and it works wonderfully. Don't use it on the blooms...
