LOL
My husband will not be coming. I never see him until after 8pm. I'll try to think of something else easy to bring to eat.
Hello Paige and Mitch, I am sorry that your spouses will not be able to make it, may be another time. Looking forward to seeing you. Josephine.
Hi everybody. I am sorry to have to say that Betty and I will not be able to make it today. Betty's doctor told her yesterday that she should not go today but, she did not tell me until now.
Oh no, so sorry to hear that John! I hope that she is better soon. I was just going to confirm that you were coming, since I don't need 6 new milkweed plants. Now I don't have an excuse to go to the nusery. LOL
So is everyone else still coming? I'm bringing both my boys and we are heading over to Six Flags after meeting, since we will be in Arlington.
I am heading that with with my son . . . but no sixflags he is a little small yet.
I've been taking my younger son since he was about 2. My other son is 13 years older than him, so we would watch him ride some rides and then me and the little one would ride on a few of the baby rides. He got in free until he was 3 or 4 and a certain height. He's had his own season pass now for 3 years and getting more daring all the time. I still ride some of the kiddie rides with him too. I ride the big roller coasters with my other one tho!! We love the Titan! The last time we went alone, we rode it 6 times in a row, 4 on the front car! Now I have to try the last car.
John and Betty, I am so sorry that you won't be coming! Shoot, we were really looking forward to having you with us.
Well, may be in September when we have the plant swap, we are having it at the same place,
so you will already have the directions.
I hope Betty will be better soon, I will send you the Antelope Horns seed when it dries.
Love, Josephine.
Yes Paige, we still plan on doing it, no problem. I didn't know that you had another son.
We look forward to metting him too.
Josephine.
Well Guys, I did hang out, and in the process we ended up getting a lovely sauna bath.
Wow! it was hot and humid, and the Wilscape part of the park has many hills and hollows, all sorrounded by trees. Consequently, there was no breeze and the humidity was very high.
We did see some interesting plants such as Lizard's tail, Sea Oats and Giant Coneflower, but there wasn't a lot blooming at this time. Oh, and Linda's husband spotted a snake in the creek and a crawdad, which we all thought was neat.
Here is the Lizard's Tail plants.
The picnic pavillion is at the top of a hill, so we had a wonderful breeze to cool us off.
Afterwards we went to my house to see the wildflowers and pick up some plants.
We missed you John and Betty, but may be in September you will be able to make it, and a lot of other people as well.
Josephine.
What a great group! Mitch, hang on to that young 'un, he's a keeper!
Thanks - we are really blessed. Maybe we can get together again sometime - it was a ton of fun. Mitch
I hope your next get-together can be a time when I can join you. I have so enjoyed meeting dear friends here at the "south end" of the state, I would love to meet you "northerners." ;->
maggiemoo - you are going to have to get up here, we are meeting again in Sep for sure and who knows between now and then. Mitch
Mary, I am pretty sure you will be able to come in September, we are having it on a Sunday,
so that will make it easier, it will also be cooler. Josephine.
Betty is feeling a little better today. Said she is glad she didn't see that snake!
AH - it was really cute - she would of loved it.
