I wasn't too sure which category to place this under, so I picked this one to start with. I am wanting to install a watering system for my flowers, and keep going back-n-forth on which way to go, and I wanted to know what everyone else is using, and why they like or don't like theirs. We'll have to run some pipe to the beds, and go off from here, and we thought about installing spickets along the bed...which is about 70 yards long...and connecting soaker hoses to them, from "Y" connectors, and doing it this way; or, using the flexiable tubing, and using the little sprinkler-heads. It gets ridiculously hot in southern Louisiana, and I want to use something that will give the deep watering my plants need, and a system where minimal evaporation will occur. I grow quite a few tropicals that love water, and need water, so light or occasional watering does not work in my beds. Any input y'all could give would be greatly appreciated, and maybe the best places to purchase the supplies I need for the system as I need to get this installed very soon because it's getting very hot here, and I cannot water everything like it needs to be watered by just standing there using a hose. Also, any input on "timers" would be appreciated as I am not familiar with what would be a good one or not, or what options to look for that would be helpful. I was just about to start my thread with my drip system pics. It's based off another soaker hose vs drip system thread that has been going on. I have a bunch of pictures so I wanted to start my own thread for it rather than hog into someone else's. I will edit this post with a link to my new thread when I'm done. :)
