Korean grass

Rancho Cucamonga, CA

Anyone have any advice on how to green up Korean Grass?
Mine is yellow and should be dark green. What kind, if any,
fertilizer can I put on it?

Try some iron chelate (like Ironite)

Denver, CO(Zone 6a)

Is iron chelate safe to put on everything? I've read that it helps plants grow but never heard of it before.

Mobi, I think it's generally safe for ornamentals - I don't know about edibles. We've used it to help plants overcome a temporary chlorosis problem - a fairly common occurrence with clay soils, unfortunately.

Thanks for the tip...is ironite safe for pets?

Murfreesboro, TN(Zone 7a)

According to some websites, Ironite contains trace amounts of lead and arsenic (it's debatable whether the levels are considered harmful, and noooooo, I don't want to debate it ;o)

If your pets are the kind that will try to eat everything in sight, it may not be the safest thing to put down (taking the conservative road.) On the other hand, there are several brands of iron chelates available as a nutritional supplement, so apparently there are different grades of the product on the market, including food grade.

Thanks Terry, we put the iron chelate down yesterday, watered it in good and hopefully we'll have green korean grass soon. No where on the box was there a warning about pets........Thanks again.
