Cucumber Beetles????

I have a problem with Cucumber Beetles. Initially, they were eating my petunias and now I have found them on my iris plants also. They are eating the petunias in various parts of the yard. I kill the ones that I actually manage to see doing it (if they don't fly away first), but obviously that won't be very good control. I also have 2 dogs that get in the beds and chew on some of the bark mulch, so I need something that won't poison them.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I saw the first one last week and know it seems like everywhere I look I see them. I was actually surprised at how much damage they cause.
