Lots of leaves, fewer blooms. Should I divide now, when leaves are dying back or mark and dig in the fall? Inquiring mind and tired body wants to know.
daffodils-divide timing
I've done it both ways, and it has always worked. We have a lot here where an old house used to be. Since it tends to grow up with weeds as the summer progresses, I usually dig them right after they bloom. Maybe the secret is having a big clump of dirt with them. Try it and see.
Marcia,
I even dug up and divided mine this past Jan when they were just poking their little heads up- LOL!! DH thougth I had lost my mind but all bloomed fine.
