Some annoying weeds had taken over my atrium, so I've been out there cleaning them out. And much to my surprise, many of my tropicals, that I thought were gonners since I didn't heat the atrium, are ALIVE! Some of my brugs are a fairly good size, and others are just sprouting. A couple of plumerias survived that I thought wouldn't. My orinoco banana is up! My poor little tuberous begonias with their beautiful leaves are sprouting up again. AND my orchid cactus has three red buds on it!! It looks like the blooms will be red. Is that possible? I think it's supposed to be white, but red is so much better! I also discovered that altho my Hawaiian Ti plants died, their tubers are very much alive with lots of eyes! OMG, I almost pitched 'em!
I'm still looking for my black ginger. I'm hoping it survived. But there's still too many weeds in the way to see. I'm going back out to my treasure hunt now.
