Hello bcarpe!

What kinds of things are you growing now?
Are you looking to plant things in your yard, or are you wanting to grow and sell to others?

Maybe some more info would help to find what you are looking for.

Good Luck to you!! : )

FlowerFan86,
Thanks for the response. I want to start most of my annuals for planting in my garden. My impatients seedlings are leggy and I don't think they will be successful.
The main plants that I am starting are annuals. I don't have any heat mats and it is 70 degrees in my house. I live in Maryland and the temperature is around 60. Any help that you can give will be appreciated.

You have a greenhouse not a cold frame right? Your daytime temp is 60's, what is the nightime temps? Is the greenhouse heated?

I have lights that I am starting my vegetables under. I have started my tomatoes and peppers. The rest will be started in a few weeks. I also went to Home Depot and bought three Geraniums and started some cuttings. (My friends call me the plant nerd. I think I need to change my user name!)

I have never grown Impatients. We have very hot and dry summers. Have no shade to give them. They just don't do well here. Hopefully someone that has can chime in and give help on that. If I was going to guess, it would be that they probably need more light.

Some Annuals do better just being sown where they are going to grow. Zinnias are one that I will plant when the ground warms up here.

I hope someone that is from your reigion will read this and offer some more advice.
Good luck to you. Please let me know how everything goes.

If the impatiens have several leaves on them by now, they benefit from pinching back. Pinch off the tips, back to a spot just above where leaves come out of the stem.

gardenwife is right - just pinch them off like she said. We start most all our annuals from seeds without a greenhouse and they do just fine :)
