Weeeeellllll...................so there was no slip in my box when I got home yesterday. And so I questioned the post office lady and lo and behold(!) there WAS a box for me...a pretty little (big) thing with stickers and tape all around....must've been an oversight. I wonder how long they were planning to keep it.... Anyhow...all I can say is, "**** there a lot of seed in thar!!!" How fun!!! Did a preliminary perusal of the merchandise late late last night. Tonight I'll actually do my picking and replacing, since I'm actually awake now. :) AND will have a chance to look up some of the lesser known (to me) goodies in the PF. Will be sending back out tomorrow or Thursday. :)

The reverse robin is in Nashville, scheduled to be delivered to Raleigh tomorrow. :)
I took some maiden grass seeds from it. Can the person tell me what type this is? Seems like there are a kazillion varieties of this. Is it the tall, fine green leaved one? I'm hoping so, I love that stuff. It blows with the least amount of wind and I like to see movement in the garden.

Has anyone heard anything from or about Alice (knapp) on another Forum someone asked about her, stating they had not heard from her in a month. Her last posting on this thread was 4/4. Supposedly another person sent her a personal email (outside of Dg) and it was returned addressee unknown. ???

Oh, dear, I hope everything is OK! I exchanged email with her on April 4, but haven't been in touch since then.
I too have not heard from her and I have emailed her several times!

I had a nice note from her on 4/13, telling me she'd received my seeds and asking for planting instructions on a few. She sounded very perky and upbeat - haven't communicated with her since. Dang - hope all is well!
I haven't heard from her in a long time either; I did talk to her son and he said she was fine. She must be busy in the garden like all of us.

I do remember that Alice said in a post somewhere that she was going to be expanding her garden area and changing it around some how. So maybe that's what she is up to. Although I can't find the post; or thread it's in.

Hi everyone, I don't think I've posted for a long time (probably since I signed up) for this wonderful gift - I guess that would have been just before Kauai17 did :) I've been watching the "birds" fly this way and that with the "box" for months and it's been terribly exiciting .....like everyone else, I've been watching the box grow and grow -but- I have my doubts that "they" would be ready for such a precious item at our borders - mind you we're not going to stop trying-right?...I've traded soo much in the last 5 mths- yahooo it's fun (thanks everyone). So as I'm just before Kauai17 on the list and that's real soon - I want to let y'all know that we did have a plan to get through this - but I've decided that I'll duck my head as the bird fly's by and you guys have a most fantastic time with all of this and plant, plant, plant ...I'll catch up next year. Okay, so here's the "gist"...
I sent out Robin two days ago. Yes, I have a #. But...when I wanted to post it yesterday there wasn't any new msg's on the thread, so it didn't show up on my homepage. And I couldn't remember where the thunder the thread even lived(!). So now that I am finally on the thread...guess what, I left the darn # at home in my jean's pocket!!! Soooooo, soooooo sorry for my stupidity! LOL But it's on its way to Texas and it'll probably be there (I'm guessing) tomorrow!!! I can post the # tomorrow....but it'll probably beat me to it and already be to its destination! Okay, gotta go beat myself up now! LOL

Oh I am so excited. I need some happiness in my life! My air conditioner got stuck on 86 yesterday. It was 94 outside at the time. I freaked out! But the repairman came and we didn't have to shell out a ton of money. Can't wait to get the box though!!!!

Ok I need to know by tonight if I am to send it to Makshi or Yardbird because I would like to mail it out in the morning since Mon. is a holiday. I have not heard from Alice or Makshi yet.
Oh forgot to add the photo. There are still a ton of packets so no worries of it running out anytime soon. I am in the process of looking up the ones I don't know and taking out what I need. I am also added some to the pile.

Robins may slow down with vacations coming up, would be great to know when mailed back out and recieved. When I saw the reverse was getting close started checking here more often ,Got plenty of yad work so like everyone else don't get to this garden as often as I would like. Has anyone heard on the reverse? Was wondering since I am next?
