Venting..... Ebay purchase gone crazy....

Here are two helpful tools for eBay users. Both install right-click options which allow you to view only the negative feedback for any eBay user ID.

Hey, I just checked and there is a vailvillager here on DG. Now it might not be the same one but if you read her/his/it's feedback it sounds one and the same! Hmmmm....

I recently had a bad experience buying Stargazer lily bulbs. Planted them, waited for them to bloom--and they were short fluorescent yellow things--certainly not Stargazers. Started sending emails to seller with no response, so filed complaints with ebay and PayPal. But because of the time gap involved in waiting for plants to bloom (like, duh!) they won't do anything. But thankfully I paid thru PayPal with my credit card and THEY are now on the hunt. There is another nasty and dishonest seller out there that I bought some small trees from two years ago that goes by "plantranch". I got dead sticks, which he replaced, but all but one of those were dead, too. But he left me negative feedback and it's the only one I've ever gotten. I guess expecting your plants to match the description and be ALIVE is just too much. He has 260+ individuals that have left him negative feedback, but ebay doesn't do anything about him. These big sellers have a lot of feedback but if you really read them, they are marked positive but say negative things because the buyers don't want the retaliation feedback they are going to get. You really have to watch who you order from, even though most people are honest and try to please.

I've bought seeds from viliavillager once and that will also be my last itme. I to had a bad experience. He or she is very rude to you. Many times I've seen seeds from that seller and I refuse to buy again.

No hotdawg, my lily bulbs were not from vailvillager. I have purchased from her in the past, but I have such bad luck with seeds that I just chalked it up to being my fault. It's too bad that there are a few bad seed sellers out there, 'cause it gives the good ones a hard time. I think I'm just going to start dealing with DGers. Seems a lot safer to me.

I've bought alot of seeds from sellers on ebay and the only one I've had problems with was vailvillager.
Don't give up on some great sellers.

Vail Villager's eBay feedback reads like a gardening version of Seinfeld's "Soup Nazi". Many of his positive feedback leavers sound like they've been pummeled into submission. Yikes! Thanks for raising the red flag on this one.

vailvillager is not even a member of Dave's, I think he/she is just looking for a access for more people to rip off....
