root - Just how big a boy are you? Assuming that's your hand in the pic, and there's no camera tricks, that is a huge (and gorgeous) bloom. Excellent capture of the pod in the background. I look forward to having some showstoppers like that and also how she does for you this year.

Overused expression, but WOW!

She is a very pretty one. I can't wait to see more seedlings bloom this summer as well as the keepers from last year. Here is another that I held over for this year. It is a Rosamond X RK seedling from Kell. It had a nice inflated calyx and good color, but it bloomed right at frost and I didn't have a chance to see what it would do. It got a reprieve.

Nice size!! Hope she blooms like crazy for ya!

Zion, IL(Zone 5a)

Awww geez, she drinks Bud too?
With your permission, I'm printing that last picture.

PLUS - you let me know when she gets her bloom on this summer and I'll load up Bud for her, BudLight for me and come for a sniff and stare session.

OK?

HEY! That's my special party dress and only worn on 10-Jul. Didn't that leak out way over in the land of Lilies?

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Here is one I am so undecided about. I call her Crazy Lady. All of her blooms would twist and turn. I will admit I was fascinated by her blooms. So playful.

This one I can't even remember seeing. I found her pictures so she must exist. LOL I love the pics.

This one was a huge tree her first year. She started clearly yellow then turned pink. Her flowers were rippled like seersucker.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

So of course I called her Summer Seersucker.

kell Crazy lady is beautifull, kinda looks like a dancer in a twirl

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

This one was very elegant, but I think there is one out there in brug land like her.

Kell YOU MUST find her!!! Go out with the Safari hat on and go on the hunt! I can see how you would lose sight of her amonst all of your " Jungle Brugies" heyyyyyyyyyyyyy, that has ring to it doesn't it??? Reminds me of the song......LOLOLOLOL 'Jungle boogie'!!! ;-)

I like the 1st one too, Reminds me of another song when I saw her....'Twist n' Shout'!!!!! She sure is twistin', but the burning question is...is she smellin' as loud as she's twistin'??? They're gorgeous!

Scooter, I'll snap a pic of Blaine My Sista (BaBs) as soon as she arrives. Maybe I can entice her to send a pic before then...she's easy like that ya know? lol! What a woman! If only we could all be so in tune with our bodies as she is! hehehe luff ya BaBs!

Where is the Land of Lilies?? I wanna go too..

Thanks Doris. She does look like a dancer! LOL And she bloomed like crazy.

This one is from Susie I do believe. Her color was great, not yellow, not orange, more of a tangerine.

She was a Summer 03 seedling but did not bloom till 04.

I had lots of minis. One was a gorgeous double/triple. I do not have time to find my best picture of her right now.

This one was so small, like 4 inches. I call her Starlet.

I have lots more maybes, but let me end with my favorite who is blooming right now. She may be my all time favorite. She has been in the middle of a terrible storm now for several days and her blooms have held up so well while all around her have deflated!

Oh Torti too..........another mini. An odd one. A torti Persian with her flat face. LOL

Kell, I just love your second picture (the light pink one) and the Summer Seersucker and the real favorite and the all time favorite. Oh heck, I love them all. I'm just a pink brugaholic. LOL

Buffalo, NY(Zone 6a)

LOL Minigrannie!
I'm with Julie, keep the photos coming!
It's snowing here again. Boo!
A Bud light sounds good right about now.......I'll just go sit outside in my lawn chair with my Bud, wearing my parka, and stare at my empty pots. The neighbors will be amused.

Harlem, GA(Zone 8a)

LOL Jackie! You have them kinda neighbors too ??? lololol....You'll need more than a Parka, eh? *Scratchin' head* Think on the positive side, you don't need a cooler to keep your Bud's icey cold, just put it down in the snow...Now that's a good idea!

Julie / BaBs

Buffalo, NY(Zone 6a)

Oh, You've got me thinking now....... I can use the empy pots and.....
what am I doing??

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

I wish I drank beer so I could join you!!

Sylvia, next month remind me and I will cut you a piece of Summer Seersucker to trial. I remember you loved her last summer. It is way too wet here to take any cuttings now of anything. I regret cutting on Maya now so early. I hope she does not rot. But if she does, I know where to ask for a piece. LOL

Buffalo, NY(Zone 6a)

Out in the snow? We'd be a sight!

Adrian, MI(Zone 5b)

Thanks for the brug show Kell! It's snowing in Mi. and summer seems so far away!
These are all beautiful!

Yes, thanks, Scoot, Felder Rushing, how could I have forgotten!! A lady has the show now, but we haven't gotten used to her yet, we LOVE Felder!!

This recipe was on the show recently, which some might find of interest:

World' Greatest Potting Soil Homemade Recipe

1 large bag peat based potting soil
ground pine needles
compost or related material, such as rotted leaves
sharp sand or perlite
fertilizer such as 5-10-10
garden lime
cow or chicken manure
cotton seed

I have not used this, but the recipe has received rave reviews. My potting soil is very similar and I really don't think I could make this up as cheaply; however, it was said on the show that this recipe would grow 'anything'...
