earwig poop?

I just found an earwig had been living in the middle of my spider plant where the leaves come out. I chased it out and squashed it (ew) but it left behind lots of tiny black poppyseed-like things. are they earwig poop or eggs? the black things are lodged in the folds of the center and are hard to get out so if someone could tell me that they are not eggs, I won't worry. thanks.
