the "free" flow of plant material into the US. Impending legislation will affect many of us here at dave's garden.

AND at the same time, the USDA has allowed Unrestricted importation of Orchids from Taiwan (hurting US growers here in Hawaii) where the Red Fire Ant is endemic

AND

is considering to allow Dracena to be shipped across the border from Mexico with no inspections....killing the Dracena market here. What Gives????

The USDA is a sacred cow of the US Government...but there are NOT enough personnel to monitor and control this!!!! Not on a small time basis. An envelope of seeds, unmarked will get thru....
