Ebay - Strange findings - Post em' here:

Newark, OH(Zone 5b)

Saw this one on the news just now: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=35826&item=6158640078&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW

Virgin Mary pretzel. Okaaaay....I couldn't resist writing the seller:

"Don't forget MATT 5:13-14, now. We're the salt of the earth and the light of the earth. Pretzels are salty, and they're "light" in calories. I'm not bidding on a pretzel, sorry. I'm curious what your reserve is, though. Hope you reach it! ;) "

hiya GW, went n looked at that pretzel... bout the only thing i see is a pretzel in need of about six beers... now if they also offered a keg of guiness stout with it, i'd be interested... :)

Dallas, TX(Zone 8a)

OMG! I can't believe that this is on ebay. But the most amazing thing about it is that 39 people have bid on it. Now that is amazing.

At the time I saw the news story, it was only up to $10 and some change, too. People will buy anything. Gee, think that casino guy will buy it? Seems right up his alley!

Newark, OH(Zone 5b)

I had to blog about that pretzel - that's just too funny. http://www.gardenwife.com/mt/archives/2005/03/holy_pretzel_ba.php

Newark, OH(Zone 5b)

Panty-shaped tortilla chip, anyone? The seller's giving the proceeds to the Nation's Food Bank with a receipt going to the winning bidder. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=1469&item=5560409827&rd=1

What is with these people? They really want to pay $202.50 for a stupid pretzel. Hey guys, I got an idea. Let's get some pretzel dough and start making pretzels in various flower shapes. We could make all types of flower pretzels. Wouldn't that be fun? And we could sell them on ebay for $100 each. Do you think that is too much to charge? Maybe $150. Hmmm. I can see it now. For sale: Pretzels that have been found to look like all sorts of flowers. Find your favorite flower pretzel today. (Of course we won't tell them that we intentionally made them to look like flowers.) Hehe. Just kidding.

What crazy people there are in this world. I'm glad I'm a gardener, not a pretzel maker. I don't think I would last long.

He's pretty smart the way he's doing it -- just for a lark, many would bid and pay $2.

Bodrum, Turkey(Zone 10a)

ok this is weird.....
why do some people bid over and over again against themselves???

examle, davzay started bidding at 150 dollars, and kept bidding against themselves up to 500 dollars
then the bid went from 600 to 5000, and that person bidded in increments of 1000 dollars up to 15,000
what's with that???

Valrico, FL(Zone 9b)

They're not bidding against themelves. they're proxy bidding.

Let's say the opening bid is $100.00, but you expect it to go much higher. Instead of going back again and again to bid, you can let the system do it for you. If the most you're willing to pay is $550.00, you enter that as your max bid. So it starts at $100.00, and I come along and go to $150.00. The system automatically re-bids for you to $155.00 or whatever the increment is. It will do that if people keep bidding, unless it reaches your max bid. If I come along and bid $555.00, you would have to go in and manually re-bid.

The help the wife was dropped.
The car is not generating any interest.

Cedar Rapids, IA(Zone 5a)

My favorite was last summer--- A guy was auctioning off his ex-wife's wedding dress--by MODELING IT! He was a burly, bearded guy and it was pretty funny. He kept adding comments about what a witch she was. Last time I saw it, bidding was over $800. Other bearded guys bidding on it?

Oostburg, WI(Zone 5b)

Yeah, Wanda, that was a hoot. The guy had a bunch of marriage proposals too!

Laurel, DE(Zone 7a)

I've been thinking about getting a box of animal crackers and then taking a photo of the critters and having an auction.
"I was just sitting here and opened this box of cookies and SUDDENLY a giraffe fell out of my hand! Just as I went to pick him up, I was ATTACKED by a cat and then I was SAVED when an elephant came along and ate the cougar, mated with the giraffe and produced and entire box of BABY animals!
What do you think?

Oostburg, WI(Zone 5b)

go for it!! LOL

Newark, OH(Zone 5b)

Be sure to post the auction number! ;)

Bodrum, Turkey(Zone 10a)

Bodrum, Turkey(Zone 10a)

well that's just weird.....as if all the ones posted here arent......what a hoot.

Baytown, TX(Zone 9b)

I sure wouldn't go aroundletting everyone know as the men in white jackets would take me away. when they got me to the mental unit they would throw away the key. Not that they haven't thought about it already. I just keep 1 step ahead of them.

Can you imagine the ridicule this little boy will take when he gets older? What will happen to his girlfriend when they start showing his baby pictures? If I was her I would run for the door.

Imagine when the baby in utero opens his eyes... he has no way out.....yet.

People put the weirdest things on ebay.

I wouldn't put that but maybe one day I will find a raisin or something that looks like Elvis? hehehehe lol! {;>)

Lewisville, MN(Zone 4a)

Well they are not getting their trip to the mountains. Nobody bit!
You must have to have an imagination to see an indian in that picture.
