Have you ever just searching through ebay?
Check this one I stumbled across this while searching for plants and seeds.
I went to view what else the seller was selling and they had this
to sell:

Ebay - Strange findings - Post em' here:
Whoa!! Takes all kinds, I guess...
Too weird!!!
well, yeah that is the weirdest thing I've seen, and do I understand correctly that people have bid? for what? a thank you card written and signed by him? whats the point?
That's a little creepy. What is he trying to do? Raise money?
yeah, real creepy.
Where I work, we have a little meeting at the beginning of every shift. Someone informed us that you could buy breast milk on Ebay?!?! After seeing this post, I remembered hearing that and went to look. All I see is supplies. I wonder if it was pulled off or if someone had a really good joke?
You do have to feel bad for that guy if he spent 20 years in jail, wrongly convicted. I wonder how many people felt bad enough to send cash, job offers, etc.
That would really stink, yes.
You can buy all kinds of stuff on eBay...Weird stuff! A lot of things are listed, and then pulled immediately. Here's a fun site: http://www.disturbingauctions.com/
Yeah, I would feel bad for him too, if what he says is, in fact, correct, and not a made up story. Anyone can post anything on ebay and get away with it, unless ebay admin sees it and pull it.
I'm still wondering what his motive was to post that in the first place. Money? Email addresses? Contacts?
stalker? scamming older people who will feel sorry for him? who knows what motivates people...
of course, we have to give him the benefit of the doubt, but as you say Joan, what would motivate someone to do this?
First off, I'd be weary because I know that in Michigan City, IN there is a state prison. I'd be suspicious of him making up that website w/ made up stories & sitting in jail collecting $$, especially if he requested that funds be in money order form. Then, I'd be suspicous of him being sometype of hacker who like those spyware freaks, hack into your computer. I personally wouldn't send him any money but there are those "few" that might. If it was for $$, I would think he'd turn around and sue the city, etc. but I really think this is a scam of some sort.
In the past, I've seen some crazy things but its hard to even go back and look at them once Ebay pulls them off. Remember the goofy guy in the wedding dress? The guy who'd tatoo a company's logo on his head? Then there was the piece of toast that had Mary's image. At the beginning, I remember seeing posts for human liver, etc. but most of those were obviously from people that were out to make a joke. Some of these others, I still can't figure out why someone would stoop that low. Just a few weeks ago, I was doing a search for a cat related item. I found an auction from a lady who was obviously a breeder of Spynx cats & was selling a $150 (Buy It Now) certificate that would go towards a pick of the litter. From the info, she stated she was NOT selling a cat but a certificate towards a pick of the litter but it was obvious she sells them for more. The auction was cancelled a few days later.
I saw one last week of a person trying to sell their weight loss. They claim they could lose 200 pounds in one year. The starting bid was ONE MILLION BUCKS!
If they could not lose the weight in the time frame you got your money back. They were going to set it in a trust for that period of time.
My thought was yeh right, let it sit and draw interest.
Flowerfan, is this it? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=82620&item=5556315152&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW This guy sure has alot of nerve!
Well, I just found another pay me to loose weight dieter from Indiana. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=1468&item=5555398098&rd=1 and before you all start to think that we all from Indiana are like these two, think again! LOL! I wonder if they could be a couple, each with their own scam.
Aawww! there is even one for the pet lovers; http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=1469&item=5555722761&rd=1
I can't believe these people!!
The original ad? Can you spell Dating Service? How much you want to bet this guy is married within 4 months???
(The more I know about people, the more I love my animals!)
These clowns are trying to sell an illegal scam; http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=1467&item=5556127794&rd=1
Well, before you all start to think that I've got nothing better to do, I'm off to make lunch. Just couldn't help taking a look & getting some good laughs at these nuts who think they are too clever. I'd like to see what their monthly bills for listing these auctions end up costing them.
I showed this auction to my friend here at work and she said it was on the news this morning. The prison was expecting protests. The guy had been a very high profile prisoner - I guess he had the media on his side since he was wrongly convicted.
I feel sorry if he was wrongly convicted (some are) but I don't think I am going to email him.
I thought maybe someone was auctioning a human being when I saw the picture before reading. Well, you never know.
I think some of these are actually pretty clever. It's the beauty and humor of free enterprise! Just think about the low-cost marketing the goofy ads bring these sellers when people send the auction links out to others. And some are just plain fun. :)
Some people even sell their soul.

The one a saw did not come with a picture. The weight loss was for 200 pounds in one year. That is alot of weight to lose in that short of time. Heck, I just want to lose 20 whenever it will come off!
OMG! You really all amazed me - There is a long of strange things 4 sale on ebay - that IMAGINARY PET really made me laugh. - unbelievable.
I once saw college girls selling there dirty panties. -
Last year i was searching for car seat covers, good ones, one that dont shed, or fall apart. This guy, I would say, had them for sale stated they were clean and had no farts smell on them. - weird!

Oh lord! I almost fell off the chair. FART SMELL?!
Not a strange item, but an odd Ebayer.
Note the responses to the positive feedback he receives.

I do not understand why he was allowed to respond like that.

My husband and I have just spent the past 15 minutes hysterically laughing at the link BuriedTreasures posted! OMG - that guy is totally warped!! I'm kind of surprised eBay allows it - although I guess it's not hurting anyone. . . *shrug*
I'm still laughing over the one BT posted....that guy is hysterical!
Best yet, it's not an auction link that will just expire in 30 days...We can enjoy his feedback responses for years to come, if we're lucky. ;)
I think there might be some public health issues with this one.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5558473986
i saw that a pregnant woman auctioned her belly and a woman auctioned her chest---Both for billboards
BT - yeah! Yuck, yuck. Someone has actually bid on it. That's the day two fools met!
