just got my copy of johnnys seed catalogue. in it they have a row cover and you can also buy these wire hoops that make the cover look like a covered wagon. has anyone ever tried these things? i don't mean just the row covers but the cover with the wire hoops. thanks.
also, saw some self waltering planters they were selling at 2 for 27.00. they said the `14 inch stand up planter could accomodate a tomato plant. i would like to try a couple of these for my deck when i have grape tomatoes but was wondering if these were as good as the ones i saw on garden supply co. where the planters sold for about 29.00 each. thanks for your opinions.

row covers
I've considered the row covers, but it seems to me a person could make the hoops from a roll of wire for less $..
yuska - the wire costs 18.55 for 60 feet. and it comes off the rolls in the correct hoop shape.
