Juinhua, I remember reading about that terrible earthquake in China that you are speaking about. Of course I am a good bit older than you are but I remember private groups gathering donations and offering help and being very sad and confused when they were refused entry. It is very sad that mistrust can interfere with good intentions and valuable help lost by misunderstandings. I would hope those days are gone but I understand that Myanmar is refusing help and we are hearing nothing about Bangladesh. That worries me since if I remember correctly, Bangladesh is very low lying land and on the maps it appears to be in a vulnerable location. Has anyone heard what is happening there? There is a community of people here from those places and they are not hearing anything that means anything about their families.
Oh my, I just remembered I met a young man from Burma just recently and all his family is there. I haven't called. I am so ashamed. Jessamine
