I've used homemade paper pots (newspaper and a 6 oz. tomato paste can was all it took. They work great for vegetable transplants but you need to be prepared to get them in the ground pretty fast. These look pretty cheap, too and you don't have to spend the time to make 'em ;o)

You know I've always wanted to try this!! I don't have the wooden paper pot roll thingy ................those of you who know, know what I mean!

Terry, pleeeez share your tomato paste can method? I can't think of a better way to recycle newspaper! :-D

Ummmm, lemme see. Surely there is an old thread (maybe with pictures, even!) on the how-tos. They're quite easy to put together, and the only expense is the masking tape I used to write the variety name and use to seal up the seam. (And the time it takes to me 'em I guess ;o)
