December blooms

Niceville, FL(Zone 8b)

We are having the strangest weather. Here it is in December and we are still walking around in short sleeve shirts. Some of the plants in my garden have recuperated from the hurricane and are now blooming. My white butterfly ginger......

Niceville, FL(Zone 8b)

There is a shop near here that specializes in plants which attract butterflies. I love to go there, their prices are very reasonable and they are very knowlegable. I do like this one. It blooms more then any other passiflora I have. Send me an email and I will try and root a cutting for you.

How close are you to Pensacola?????????

Niceville, FL(Zone 8b)

About 45 minutes away.

My best friend lives in Gulf Breeze and I got over to see her about once every other month. I thought maybe you were talking about Garden Gate nursery.

Niceville, FL(Zone 8b)

Actually, the passiflora citrina came from a nursery in Gulf Breese called the Garden Gate. It is on Highway 98. I think I paid 6 bucks for it.

Ocean Springs, MS(Zone 8b)

I thought that is where it possibly came from. I love that little place!! They are so nice, friendly, and helpful there. They have so many unusual plants there. Guess I missed out on the citrina, there, though. My friend lives right around the corner from there.

Niceville, FL(Zone 8b)

They are very knowlegable there. However, they were not sure which passiflora it was. Actually there was two varieties that I bought there that were unknown. The citrina was one and I also got fledermouse.

Ocean Springs, MS(Zone 8b)

I bought a type of palm there, that looks sorta like a sago, but it's not. She said it was more of a ground cover, and didn't know the exact name of it, either. They do have a lot of unusual plants there and I am sure it is hard to keep track of them.
