Yep...'tis true...that flat rate box is acceptable to APO addresses! Ya gotta luv that!

Baa...those recipes sound like something I'll be watching for. Will be keeping an eye on you!

If it wasn't for the US and Canada we'd have surely starved while our farms were being put back onto track. You were frowned upon for growing flowers in valuable garden soil!

Shoe

I hope you like beetroot ;)

Love it, Baa!

Bring it on!

Carol, thank you very much for your kind offer. the postal sysem here is very bad, I never receive any mail, I have a subsription to a weekly magazine, in the past year I think I only received 5 issues....and they were sent to the pharmacy, not my home where the mailman shows up once every 2 weeks..we live on the top of a very steep hill, and he doesnt like to walk up it, sometimes he'll jusft send it up with someone coming up the hill. appaling isnt it?

Shoe, I've put one in the recipes forum :)

The valor of Great Brittain during WWII was unbelievable but little known in the states. We should all learn more about that, including the great battles. The U.S. takes more credit for themselves and doesn't look at the big picture of efforts of other countries enough.......

Thanks, Baa. I'll go check it out!

No country takes a look at what other countries do. We're all self-absorbed.

Woodspirit, it certainly was a terrible time for all, not that I remember it of course. It's easy to forget the important role so many countries played, the bravery displayed by so many on all sides is quite overwhelming.

Pebble, I remember the steep hill from the pictures you posted. How often would the postman deliver your mail if you lived on flat land? I live on a privately maintained road and complain about my mailbox being 1/10th of a mile away, as well as having to drive 9 miles into town to pick up packages. I guess I need to count my blessings instead. If the postman doesn't like to walk up the hill to deliver letters, what happens when you have a package?

Bodrum, Turkey(Zone 10a)

dont know carol, I discourage people from sending anything. Last Christmas I sent out a ton of Christmas cards out that never reached their destination, also, if in a year of weekly magazines (should be 52 issues) I have only received 5 or 8 issues, where have the rest of them ended up? and those are sent to a business..the pharmacy...where mail is delivered daily... I wouldnt want anyone to send me anything cause I know I wont get it....

It sounds like the mail service is less than honest because I expect they kept your magazines.....
a little bribery might help.....
