Garden Angel Quilt Raffle Party!!

So.App.Mtns., United States(Zone 5b)

Looks like a small party, though...

Efland, NC(Zone 7a)

Count me in! I'll eat the sushi AND the sashimi!

Will do my best to be here at least a little while before the 9:00 drawing...I can just imagine the anticipation! "And the winner is.........is........issssss......!"

So.App.Mtns., United States(Zone 5b)

Has Dave said yet he might do this in a special "Chat"??

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

But we will need to be able to post pictures of the food we are all bringing! I want some of that eggnog to get me into the Christmas spirit!!

So.App.Mtns., United States(Zone 5b)

Well, photos won't work on Chat, LOL.

Efland, NC(Zone 7a)

Hehehe...I want some of dat eggnog too! Yummy!

Would like to see a forum thread for the party myself. Some folks can't get into the Chat room and would miss out on all the fun. Of course now, with a running thread, I imagine all of us will be hitting the "Refresh/"Reload" button every 5 seconds...hope it won't over-swamp the system!

Hmmm....what a fun time. Maybe I should make some rabbit liver pate'....

♫ Do ya wanna pate' ♫♫ ;>)

So.App.Mtns., United States(Zone 5b)

How big are dem rabbit livers, LOL.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

awwww, those poor, poor little liverless wabbits!

Crossville, TN

SHUCKS! Since SOME OF US like eating high on the hog...I'm fixing something VERY special...Pinto Beans cooked with HAM...and Cornbread...and slab or REAL butter.

Now...don't crowd...I'm bringing enough for all.

Jo

Ewing, KY(Zone 6a)

Jo that sounds mighty good to me but ya need some fried taters to go with it.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Yes Peggy, just in case there are not enough carbs in pinto beans and cornbread! LOL I guess Atkins is out Monday night!

Tellico Plains, TN(Zone 7b)

Think I'll throw some dry red beans, jalapenos, onion, chili seasoning and a big chunk of lean beef or pork in a slow pot,
When the meat is tender enough , pull it with 2 forks until all is shredded.

After the beans that have been cooked down and beaten to a refried bean texture, mix the pulled meat back in.

Best 'Stick-To-Your -Ribs' burrito filling this side of Burritoville.

Soft flour Tortillas, salsa, sour cream, shredded Jack Cheese and fixins will be ready.

I better go dig out my Crock Pot now ........... TTFN

I'll post the recipe for this at the Recipes Forum

Hey this is a celebration we don't worry about carbs, calories etc, they don't count when you are celebrating right?

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

So true when you are cyber eating at a cyber party.

Scoot, you better find that slow cooker now after that description. I wonder how many of us now are going to have slow cooked beef tacos tomorrow night for real! LOL

So.App.Mtns., United States(Zone 5b)

Ahhh, one by one, the Party Grows! Be some mighty good food here!

Tellico Plains, TN(Zone 7b)

Okay, my saki is ready (but I cannot find my small bottle to warm it, must be in a box somewhere), my traditional bamboo cup at the side, and sushi rolling mat at the ready...

OC, CA & Twin Lakes , IA(Zone 4b)

I'm here for the sushi, Darius!

So.App.Mtns., United States(Zone 5b)

Good deal, Arlene! I'll be back here a little before 9 pm EST, goodies in hand!

Newark, OH(Zone 5b)

Ick, no sushi or sushimi for me! How about leftover turkey?

Two meat thermometers because the little one was not registering right and Howie put the big one in to see what it said. Poor bird. Our electronic one bit the dust, so we had to be careful to keep an eye on the bird - no alarm! I said it looked like a funny face with two different sized eyes, and a little pouty mouth...."ohhhh, uhhhh, you're not going to eat me, are you?"
