This is everyone's invitation to join us live for the Quilt raffle drawing on Monday Dec. 6th....9PM Eastern Time.

This is when the winner will be announced and we'll have a big celebration to mark the event. We've got all weekend to share and have a great time on theis thread......let's plan a party gang!!!!!

Well, I love chocolate...but I'd rather have some of your biscotti....I know I know...sacrelige here,,,but I have to admit it.....Hope you bring some to the party...I've got some Community Coffee that I'll make...unless I break open the bottle of Brut....then Chocolate.... or biscotti..either one, won't work....

Actually, this is to take to Ellen's Saturday......she's having us down for A Christmas get together....I'll have to make some more for Monday....

Now, when I make my Chocolate mint Brownies, I DO like the beaters from the mint layer, LOL.

Maybe I shall bring biscotti, too. I just sent some for an order on my SCIF store to a DG member. Need to make some for myself and for Christmas company, too.

Thats my anniversary what a nice present the quilt would make. :) Ok I can bring some snack mix for us to munch on while we wait. I just made a pretzel salad so can bring that along as well.

It's called pretzel salad because the bottom is crushed pretzels. Its really good about the only time I make it is for the holidays.

The pretzel salad is very good too! Since I've started lots of baking, I'll bring peanut butter kisses to the party

I was going to ask to lick the beaters but someone else can do that now. I just need to meet her at the car on Saturday and snitch a few squares of that fudge before anyone else sees it. I really like seeing the pictorial evidence first hand and therefore I know ,, instead of "Here come da judge"....Here come da fudge!"

Jo, you haven't tried my homemade California Rolls... no raw fish, I promise... just avocado and crab wrapped in sticky rice and a tad of wasabi (horseradish) to heat it up.

I'll bring some nice white zinfandel to the party, and some veggie cheese spread and wheat thins. Oh, and I make a killer Texas Caviar, so I'll make that and bring the tortilla scoops too.

As a sushi lover, I recognize that! It's wasabi, Japanese horseradish, which is used for a little kick in both the prepared dishes and mixed into the dipping sauce, as desired. Say, I've made my own gari (pickled ginger) before... it's SOOOO easy!

C'mon, raffle! I'm ready for sushi... lol

Kell, on the occasions I get to go to Atlanta to shop, Whole Foods carries that fake crab in cylinders about 6" long x about 1/2" thick, kinda like string cheese. It's great to use in California rolls because it's so uniform for rolling in the sticky rice.

I've seen some lately with the nori inside (over the filling) and sticky rice outside. Have you made any of those?

No Darius, I haven't! I was thinking more of making nigiri than rolls for us. I was going to start with octopus, squid, giant clam, and arc clam. How many should I make? Are you all going to be starving?

Well, save some octopus for me... I like it. Don't know about the others, though, as I haven't had them. I think the nigiri is very elegant-looking.

I find many people will try sushi by sampling California rolls, then maybe sushimi later on. It's often a learning process. Here, we cannot get seafood fresh enough, though.
