Winter blew into our garden today,
An unwelcome guest, but planning to stay.
So, I'm planting bulbs, with a sharpened spade,
Knowing they're Nature's promises made;
That someday the robin will wake to sing,
And dreary Winter will give way to Spring.
Then Fall's hard work will begin to pay,
As the flowers all bloom in jolly May.

Winter
Don, very good poem. We all need to read and remember. Donna
How True!
Nice poem. Those of us who live in the north get some definite benefits from the cold weather. Folks in the south always want to grow tulips and apples and things that need the chill time we get naturally up here. Of course we want some of the things they have too. Humans are funny, we always want what we can't have.
