Sent out 23 invites for ON subscribers (ceedub already on list above). I'm sure some of them have seen this thread but I'd rather be redundant than miss someone! :)
Candain round up planning, part 2
kooger ;)
thanks for the invite.
I wish I could go, but after been gone for almost 2 months the funds just does not permit it for me, plus DH would go up the wall if I would go away again *LOL* and DD would never forgive me *LOL*
I bet they will have a blast!!
Carmen
Laura, thank you so much for the personal invite. As luck would have it the weekend is the weekend of one of my biggest shows for the whole year .... followed the next by the second biggest money maker show. Dang!
I would have loved to come DH in tow as he has now "discovered" gardening but need to make the $$$'s to feed my plant habit.
Lurk here daily need to post but I am *shy* and pretty new to gardening. Grew up on a dairy farm in Southwestern Ontario - the Dairy Capital of Canada to be exact but having those cows is alot different than having a wonderful garden.
Will look forward to all of your posts and will be there in spirit. Maybe 2006?
Dianne
bummer, would have loved to meet both of you! Next trip to ON should be low key and I wanna visit everyone there - maybe meet for a day in Toronto or something like that. We'd have close to a dozen just with S. ON peeps! (Yeah on the dairy farm - me too - holsteins?)
Yep! Never can understand why people want to put cows in their kitchen. Obviously they have never been up close and personal with one!
D
lol Amen, sister! ........ and now, in other news, back to the RU......... sorry, a small hijack!
humbly, Laura
Heard from IMCANADIAN (Joelle) and she can't make it.....she is heading to Canada Blooms in 2006 and is saving her pennies for that trip. Also emailed nevrest and Dema (also a SK resident).
edited to say I remember Dema (Debbie) posting that she can't attend......but is looking forward to the next one.
Right now it looks like DD and my Flight Arrival will be:
10:50 am Friday
Departure:
6:20 Monday (but have to arrive an hour earlier)

could we do butchart on sunday - i'm thinkin some easterners will be leaving earlier on monday than us and it might be pushing it
Hi Lynn,
Thanks for thinking of us! :-) I'm not flying out after the RU, but heading up-island to visit my grandmother - so any time is fine for me. I think the only other easterner so far is Ingrid (Paridise) - not sure what her times are.
Hi Lynn,
Yes,Thank-You for thinking of us-Shannon and myself, what ever suites everyone is fine with me.I'll go along with any plan established.
Best Regrads, Ingrid
I can invite the British Columbians, if no one else has?
Thankyou Kooger for the invite. I have had a sticky note on my desk for the last week to post here but time is in short supply right now. Sorry I won't be able to make it this year. We are driving out to BC in July & won't be able to manage two trips. I have been so envious of all the US RU's & wished I could be among them.
I hope everyone enjoys Butchart Gardens. It is just gorgeous. Have only been there once but plan on returning in July.
Maybe I will be able to make the next RU. Please take lots of pix & post on the RU forum. I want to see everyone. And have a fantastic time together.....Linda
We can do Butchart's when ever is the best time for everyone. I'm getting the idea from the posts, the Sunday morning would be better than Monday. If that's OK with the church goers.
Pam, with you leaving Monday, do you want to do some garden sight seeing on the morning, or nursery shopping? Or ???
I'm wondering if there's going to be people left to do the Victoria Garden tours? I should get in touch with them, to confirm or not soon. They already know we are interested in their tour.
I'm easy with whatever people decide.
Linda in Victoria
I'll be there until Tuesday morning. Anyone else?
Butchart's on Sunday is fine with me. :)
Pam and I both leave late on the monday - about 6 pm or so and we will both be in fairly early on friday. me at 8 and pam at 10 or so.
actually scheduled stuff includes Friday evening dinner etc at Lindas; sunday morning worship and then worship of a different kind at butchart; saturday looks fairly full with slide shows and trades and maybe some nurseries; maybe monday am would be a good planning time for the next RU or whatever; if we do saturday out for dinner as a group, then maybe we can do sunday as a dg family dinner at Linda's again and I'm willing to be chef of the day if Linda is ok with me using her kitchen. that gives me a reason to hit the shops on friday - might even make this gig tax deductible LOL
gee hope neither of you ladies from the gatineau works for the rev can side of the gov't LOL
Nope, DND! :-)
LOL, not here either....
lastest new subscriber is from Vancouver!!! Who's contacting BCers?
I can. I'll get on that today!
Talked to Weezingreens, and as much as she'd like to attend our RU, time committments and other life stuff will make it unlikely that she'll make it this year. :(

Darn that life stuff, eh? Keeps intervening. :-) I'll be sorry not to meet her.
I wanted to state publicly that Lynn meant it when she offered Air Miles. We just received confirmation of the tickets she ordered for DD and I! We are very, very grateful for her generosity!
Thank you Lynn! :-)
Jeanne, your offer of a salmon would be most appreciated.
And Lynne, you and crew can have the kitchen for Sunday night.
I can think about food all the time.....

Unfortunately I will be unable to attend the Round Up in early April.... I have committed to another trip at the end of that month and I will not be able to so much time off from work.... I know that I am going to miss this chance to meet with you all and I am sure that there will be a good time will be had by all.... I will be thinking of you..
Anna

Thank you Pam (LilyPon) for the invite. It sounds like an absolute blast! I have to wait to see if I and the 'other half' can get time off around then. So put me (us) down as a definite maybe. :-)
Haven't been to Butcharts since '86 (World Expo trip)
I'll confirm as soon as am able.
Marc
Have now started another thread as this is getting too slow to download.
Ginny
Marc please keep in mind that a huge curling championship will be held in Victoria this spring (same time) and if you are coming..... please BOOK EARLY!!
Well I'll keep that in mind....suppose I should book a room now and cancel it as needed should I not be able to make it. I won't know for sure about being able to come till around February.
Thanks for the heads up :-)
Hope to see y'all there! :D
Please con't now on the PART 3 of this lovely thread
Ginny it would be a good idea if the information at the top of this thread is cut and pasted to the top of: http://davesgarden.com/forums/t/471309/ (in your first post). Please add RikerBear (Marc) & SO as a "definite maybe". :) Thank you!! :)
I know we aren't supposed to post here any more! ;)
edited to say it prolly would be good idea to have the next post list possible hotel/motels etc. too.
