animal secret christmas exchange sign up

ok here we go. a christmas exchange for the other kids in our lives. :-) whoever you want to have receive an ornament or little gift. your doggie, kitty, ferret, birdi or whatever.............you can sign up here and we'll have an exchange. how's that sound?
we'll make it either an ornament or a little gift. handmade or store bought. no more than $10 and no less than $5.
for subscribed members to dg only.
please send me your real name, dg name, pet's name and address so i can pass this on to your secret animal friend.
also let me know how many you want to participate in. say one for barney my dog and one for kitty my cat.
i will close this to sign ups on sunday, november 21st at 10 pm and we'll have a mail out date of saturday december 11th. this will give everyone time to get something ready and in the mail to your secret friend to arrive in time before christmas day.
i think it would be nice to post a picture of your pet, there name and perhaps something they like or don't like. for example....franklin doesn't like toys that squeak or make noises, but he loves stuffed animals of any size and the more floppy the better.
have i forgotten anything? if i have let me know.

we sure hope that you'll be able to join us in the exchange. you can always do your trio as a group of 1 and therefore cut down on the expense. how's that sound? or i can try to match you up with someone that has 2 or 3 critters themselves and cut down on the postage.

What a wonderful idea!! I don't have a pic handy of my Girlies together, so this first one is Lily - Lily's the ultimate mooch who loves playing with strings, krinkly balls and toy fur mice. Lupin is in the next frame.

Here's Lupin. Lupin's our problem child; she's emotional, sensitive and can be spiteful towards Lily. Her favourite toys are sticks, strings, fur mice and bristol boards.

Sure wish I could join in with my three babies, but I would proabaly be asking for problems. A couple of big Parcel Post outlets (Calgary & Winnipeg) have been shut down by the Canada Post "Powers That Be"and that has left the Vancouver Outlet, completely swamped to the tune of being backed up with parcels coming from the States for at least a month. I ordered some Wilt Pruf for my Roses on October 8 from Iowa, and it still hasn't arrived. Sigh, and I signed up for the Craft exchange. I probably won't get my present until February!!! Oh Wel, I feel better just to have vented!l

Bummy you sure do have a big orange head but your ears are really a nice shade of pink. ;-) i bet all the other kitties are jealous of your ears. kinda like human woman being jealous of men's long curly eye lashes. all kidding aside though i think your a very pretty kitty. :-) welcome to the christmas exchange. do you have any favorite things you like? or things you dont?

LOL debi! Bummy said to tell you that he is a little "punkin", but he's the furry one in the picture. The orange one is a little friend Mommy made him for Halloween. He's sure getting attached to that pumpkin cat though.

Bummy also said to tell you that he loves to play with his toy mousies, sleep on his pillow, and eat tuna!

I love the pumpkin, and the cat too. I would like to join in. Here are my cats and my dog.
The tabby K.C.(kitty cat) is 23 years old. She is deaf but definetly still has a loud voice, the only thing that interest her anymore is food. The black cat is SchwartzKatz, he is 10 years old and quite the lovable snuggler, he loves to play with dangley toys. My dog Roxie is 1 1/2, she likes food, and beanie baby toys. Amazing to me she has never torn one open. She just shakes them and throws them, then she puts them back in her basket.

MsMaati, how wonderful that your tabby, K.C. has given you 23 years? And she looks fantastic. Your're very lucky to have 3 great looking pets. I have a 12 year old and a 7 year old cat(s) plus a Spaniel that is 11/2 too. The difference there is my pup would have that Beanie Baby destroyed in less than an hour. LOL

welcome kc, SchwartzKatz, roxie and msmaati. i'm so very pleased to make your acquaintances. kc, you sure must have met a lot of cats and other non-cat beings, in your lifetime. (well isn't that how a cat thinks? there are cats and then there are other non-cats. :-) } soooooo roxie, you sure are a cute hot doggie. franklin loves to play with stuffed animals too. he knows all the names of his toys and there are a lot of toys over 10 years time. :-) and well schwartzkatz, i don't know where your momma got that name from but it sure is a mouthful. :-)

Debi, Thanks for the kudos, SchwartzKatz(Black Cat) we call him Schwartzy for short. Still a mouthful but our 18month old granddaughter calls him loudly Swaaaatttttzzzzyyy. So cute.

I thought I should add that my dogs can't have rawhide toys as they think that they are suppose to chew them up and swallow as fast as they can and end up choking on them. Silly kids. Other then that no restrictions.

I forgot to mention Daisy and Clover, my two peach faced lovebirds, can't have toys with those ball bells. I guess they're called jingle bells? Their little beaks could get caught in them and I know that if these two can manage it, they will.

Aggie (male Westie) would also like to join in. He loves stuffed toys and doesn't really care for small balls. His favorite toy so far is a flat stuffed scottie dog I found at the dollar store. He plays with it & even uses it as his pillow. Incredibly, he hasn't killed the squeaker yet. Hmm, I think I better go buy a few extras. He's only 9 months old and hasn't gotten out of his chewing stage. His favorite? shoes! He's already ruined a pair of the kids shoes. Luckily, they were just about outgrown and new shoes were pending so he hurried us along. He's not a barker so has been having a hard time letting us know when he's gotta go potty so if Santa could help him figure that out, I'd be more exstatic. So we've gone back to the crate training for now. He doesn't mind it but I feel guilty. Anything homemade (with love) will be appreciated & charished. Now to think of goodies to make for his recipient.

Put the Horsie down, he is a cat, and he says he isn't into Holidays and he doesn't care about toys, but I, as his mother, know better..he doesn't care about any treats that I have tried..but he likes Toys! Especially those little mice that he can chew the tails off. We have a lot of toy mice, without tails, in this house!

LOL Melva, my Lupin does the same, only actually eats the little leather tails, doesn't just chew them off - YUM!!

Debi_z.....I would like to join in on this pet exchange! How fun! I have a cat named Grayse. She, also, likes those small, furry mice you can get in pkgs. of 3-5 from PetSmart, she likes the furball medicine that tastes like Malt, she loves cardboard boxes, caps from bottles, string, and anything metal that she can chew on. There are not any snacks that she likes accept the furball medicine and her vitamins I buy for her at Wal-Mart. She's pretty finicky. She doesn't like any toys that make noise, and loves furry, soft, stuffed animals. She likes to kneed-bread on them before cuddling with her mommy. I've attached a pic of her so everyone can see my sweet 'lil Grayse girl!
