Back to NH for a visit.

Bethelridge, KY(Zone 6a)

Hi all, I'm bAA-aack! Got back this A.M., I won't be posting much tonight, tired from the long drive. Had a great time, no ice fishing but visited with a lot of family. I'll fill you in tomorrow.

Carmel, NY(Zone 6b)

Yeah! Welcome back! We missed you and can't wait to hear the details!

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

Glad you made it back safely.
You left NH just in the nick of time. It's -20 here right now and I hate to see what it will be by morning. Bet it's LOTS warmer in Kentucky tonight. Lucky you Big Red.

Snowhermit, not much better! About 10 out now and to be lower...brrr. Glad you're back Big Red, safe and sound.

Carmel, NY(Zone 6b)

snowhermit - we topped out today at a whopping 12 degrees - not fit for man nor beast I tell ya!

Forgot to add that its all of 7 right now. I usually turn the heat off when I turn in at night (except in the sunroom for the plants!), but I think I'm gonna reconsider THAT tonight... I like it cool at night, but I think that's a little cool even for my blood - LOL!

Thanks everyone! I came back with a beaut of a head cold and just haven't got around to responding to this thread. Feeling better now, though.

As I said, I didn't get to do any ice fishing, not much ice on the lakes, a little on some ponds but they had a lot of rain and snow the first few days I was there. My son didn't have his bobhouse out yet so we didn't go out in all that nasty weather. Maybe next year!

Got to visit with my family and two of my sons, the third was off to the Carolinas to visit his daughter who just had a baby boy. That makes me a Great Grandpa! No names or details yet, haven't heard from him. I'll fill you in when he gets back.

Linnea, the Drake kids that you used to play with are my nephews/nieces, my sister married a Drake. Small world, huh?

I love NH, but I gotta tell ya, it's great to be back HOME!

Big Red, I always get sick when I go back to MA. The air is different, for sure. I am leaving here on Feb. 16th, but I'm flying into Albany, NY. I am going to douse myself with Vit. C. LOL while I'm there.

I'm proud that you consider yourself "home" now.....a fine addition to The Bluegrass you are!

Home is where your heart is. :) My heart is between MA and KY....loved ones in both states. It makes it hard at times. But Mel, my mother always asks when I'm "coming home". I tell her I am home. Kathy

Misty,

Have a good trip but don't stay away too long, it's so dang congested and hectic "up there", busy, busy, busy, scurry, scurry scurry.

Thanks Mel, and I'm proud to call it "home"! It's blessed with some of the finest people you can hope to meet.

You are right about the busy and hectic. I have to come 'back home' to get a vacation after being "back home". LOL
