Id this bug: Foe? How bad? How do I get rid of it?

Ok, what is this? How do I get rid of it? Is this why my Maple Tree is sickly looking? They are sitting on my Daylily, Beared Iris, the tree trunk... just about everywhere.

What you have there is a Lady Bug Larva which is a gardners friend as it eats garden pests like aphids.

Really? So don't squish them.... hmm. I already wiped out over 30 before I asked, darn!
