Hello all,
There has got to be a better way of extracting seeds from thier hulls(flower heads). You know those tiny tiny seeds. Can't seem to get a system just right.
I crush the heads when fully dried.I SEE the seeds,I WANT the seeds, just can't seem to seperate them ...just so!!
Any advise??
thanks,
Kimc
Got to be a better way??
What kind of plant are we talking about?
Hi dave...
At the moment i'm working on phlox(s).Its seeds that size that give me the most trouble.i use a REALLY small mesh screen streched tight over an embroadry hoop.I still get too much plant matter in with my seed...
I ordered Seed to Seed, that should help me along.I just want to send out my seeds nice and clean. All I recieve look so nice and pretty!!
Can yah help me make 'pretty Seeds'?
Thank you!!!
Kim (PS...Dave I can't spell worth a...DIME!
spell check at Daves'? PLEASE...? )
If you put everything on a piece of paper, then hold it at an angle, the seeds should roll down so you can collect them, and the other stuff should stay put. Haven't done phlox, but it works with mint.
Thank you Mary...I'll give it a go!
Kimc
