I thought so too, it's funny how it's that way. Maybe berries and decidious forage is more nutrious and makes them grow faster and more solid. Think about all that fat they'd have to put on for the cold seasons.
P.S. I know my spelling was horrible but I'm too lazy to go back and spell check!
