Just one thing to say

Mackinaw, IL(Zone 5a)

And wasn't it the Lincolns that had a goat as a housepet? Seems I read once that Tad rode around in a little cart pulled by his pet goat, up and down the halls of the White House.

Not that I think you should let the cows INSIDE, Dave.

I don't know. Those are Texas cows. They might get a bit chilled in D.C. and they aren't accustomed to the dangers of a big city. I think they come inside at night. I hear there's a huge bowling alley in there that could be made into a nice area for them.

LOL Sounds like the next book in the series that started with Click Clack Moo: Cows that Type and Dooby Dooby Moo (think Frank Sinatra).

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I think pig (pork) would be more at home.

Surely there's room at the White House for the first family's livestock...gotta have chicken and sheep too. As much as I like pork, y'know it's not healthy to have too much of one kind of thing in any ecosystem...

Northern California, United States(Zone 9a)

Sheep have been there in the past.
You can promote a kitchen garden on the White House Lawn:

Ozone, AR(Zone 6a)

I've always wanted to be head of the CIA. I'll vote for you Dave, if you'll give me the CIA and i'll teach them all how to plant gardens and we'll use our skills to spy out the best plants for food and beauty and use green persimmons instead of bullets for war.LOL

Hey I'd vote for Dave in a heartbeat, but I don't think I'd want my name on any ticket, even though it's an honor and delight to work with him.

I covet the privacy I enjoy as an "ordinary citizen" and I treasure my family too much to even entertain the notion in jest ;o)

well, there goes the dream team

Quote from Terry :
I covet the privacy I enjoy

Yes, this is the reason I can't imagine ever running for any office of any sort. I like my peaceable and quiet personal life.

You could just phone in your directives. I'd vote for you but I'd have to retain my citizenship in the "Who Dat Nation".

Dave,
You've definitely got my vote! You've even got that new puppy to take with you!

Dave's wife would not want people scrutinizing every article of clothing she wore, or what she did with her hair every day.

The stress!!

At least the question of the first dog would already be established.

Murfreesboro, TN(Zone 7a)

Very true: no dithering around over what-kind-of-dog-should-we-have to distract him ;o)

Fountain, FL(Zone 8a)

LOL

Dolores, CO(Zone 5b)
