Which Pyracantha?

Castelnau RB Pyrenée, France(Zone 8a)

I'd like to cover a not enormous stretch of wall with hard pruned Pyracantha, to give a good show of blossom and berries - and perhaps provide a support for annual climbers such as Black eyed Susan or Morning Glory in between.
Please can anyone recommend the best species to use in this way?

I am surprised you have not received any answers here! I only have one and I love it. It may not be massive enough for what you want though. I have Pyracantha Mohave and it performs very well for me here in zone 6. I'll post a pic for you here shortly. It is absolutely covered with berries for a nice fall display. ;)

I have one on my wall that grows like crazy, even in the winter and I am in zone 7. But, it doesn't bloom. Therefore, no berries. I do believe it is because it doesn't get enough sun.

Think about that. Jeanette

That is beautiful. But see, it gets sun. Blus, I'll bet that brick really holds the heat. Jeanette

Mine will be in sun Jnette :) thanks for the warning though

Thanks a lot Badseed, that looks like just the thing. My wall is not huge, so I'm sure it will do the trick and is exactly what I had in mind :oD
