Here's our seventh grandbaby. She is a beauty. 7lbs. and 11 oz.
Reagan Dakota Bryan born on August 27th. Hope that name doesn't get me kicked off of Dave's for being political. Her sister is Kennedy and a brother Jackson so we just like all presidents, Republicans and Democrats.
And 7 is enough?
What a beautiful little girl!!! She even shares my Isabelle's B-day, : ) what time was she born? Can you ever really have enoug grandbabies? LOL
I got to the hospital, about an hour and a half from here, at 6:40 PM and when I knocked on the door a nurse opened the door and said "it will be a few minutes, the baby is half in and half out. Her 10 year old sister was allowed to experience the birth. I don't know if that is a good thing or not but she was all smiles when she came to the hall and told me it was a girl. Thanks DC and you are so right, we can't have to many. Each one brings new joy to our hearts. This is the first one that Bobbie didn't get to go to the hospital and visit.
Hi Jim, she sure is a cutie. Congratulations on #7....I'm jealous as I only have one, but I love him to death.
Hugs to you and Bobbie,
Donna
A most hardy Congratulations, to you ... and, to the rest of little Reagan Dakotas' family!!
Those are some beautiful and most unique names for her, and her siblings ..
Grandchildren .. and each 'new'un, especially .. are just one of many ways, that God reminds us we've done something 'right' in our lives ... Grand (and great grandies) are our mortal rewards on this ol earth! Just remember, they .. like our own children, are only 'on loan' to all of us ..
Seems that your family is seeing to it, that you'll have many a southern gentleman
and ample enough 'bells' also .. hee hee
Again, congratulations georgieredclay !!
Oh Jim! Congrats! She IS beautiful. Look how alert she is!
She also shares her day of birth with my eldest, Morganne.
My kids have gone to the last three births. I think it helps create and instant and deep bond. I'm also helping it serves to keep them from having kids for years and years! LOL
Quite a few birthdays on Friday, cool. Chele give Morganne a B-day hug from Isabelle.
Jim tak lots of pics for Bobbie and PLEASE drive my careful than Zany(lol sorry had to throw that in)
Congratulations. We have 7 grandbabies too so now you've caught up with us. I hope you get to take Bobbie to see her or she visits her grandma soon.
Congratulation... she's beautiful! :o) My mom had 10 grandkids!!!!
She is just beautiful - congratulations to all :)
My mom has 11, not the most Ive ever seen but between her two daughters (me and sis) I think thats quite a feat.
Now all I can do is wait for neices, nephews and in ten years(or more I hope) grandbabies. Im known to steal babies when given the chance just so I can cuddle and act like a mommy again, LOL. Ill even change a dirty diaper and not complain as long as I get to play with them for a bit.
Jim, what a beautiful grandchild!
Y'all make me feel a bit sorry for my mother, who has just one grandchild. After I helped raise several half-siblings from the subsequent re-marraiges of each of my parents, I didn't want any kids of my own. Too late to change my mind now at 63, LOL.
Great pictures, and GC, you look so 'right" sitting with your two grand daughters.
Congrats..........very pretty .
Congratulations - she is beautiful!!
Congats Jim!!!
Big hugs for you, Bobbie and family!
Thanks everyone. Now this one is the first that we have named after a state.LOL
Hey Jim and Bobbie....she is adorable!! Big sis is a beauty also. CONGRATULATIONS!!
Psst....is that "soup strainer" under your nose new??....Looks good. Jo
Oh, Jim. She's gorgeous. Sure wish you could bring her (and ya'll too) to the RU later this month. I'd be glad to hold her for you. :) Or would you even let go of her long enough for me to cuddle her? ;)
Congrats Jim!!! What a keeper!!
Great pic of you and the two girls! Suitable for framing!
(By the way, is that the baby's Dad in the background, holding his head? He looks exhausted, or breathing a deep sigh of relief!) :>)
7 lbs. and 11 ounces of joy and delight
Reagan Dakota Bryan's a beautiful sight.
just look at the pride in her Grandpa's eyes
as he holds his new love in his arms and tries
to let go of this bundle of joy when she cries.
Jim, she is beautiful and I see hair peeking out from under her cap. Sorry to hear Bobbie couldn't be there but since they don't hold them in the hospital too long these days she will soon be able to make up the time with this new love.
I was worried about our 3 year old Tucker and 15 year old Marisa being in the room when Bryce came but they both did great. In fact, Marisa now wants to be a doctor so she can deliver babies.
And I love the name Reagan for a girl!
Awwww, congrats, you guys! Jim, do I detect a caterpillar on your upper lip there?
A big congratulations Jim and Bobbie and family!!!
There are NEVER enough grandbabies when they are loved and wanted!
Hey all you guys the stach was a surprise for the roundup but now that I can't come (don't count me out yet) I guess it slipped out. Bobbie said she wanted me to start looking a little more distinguished so there you go.
Hi Shoe, now that is a son but not the daddy of Reagan. That is my middle son Chris and I think he was tired from driving in that Atlanta traffic at 5 pm on Friday afternoon. It will make you rub your head.
Thanks Zany for the poem is was nice of you. Wish I could see your new addition.
We love all you guys and Carla we wish we could make the roundup but Bobbie had another set back today.
Her MS doctor had home health come out and give her some meds through IV. They were supposed to come Wed. Thurs. and Fri. of this week. We had been waiting about two months for the insurance to approve it because it is really expensive.$3800 a day. Well every thing went well yesterday and the nurse took her blood pressure at certain intervals. One of the side affects was it could elevate your blood pressure. The nurse came back today and everytime she checked her BP in went up. It finally reached 106 on the bottom noumber and she called the doctor and he told her not to give her anymore. They had sent the meds to the house last week and now I have another day of meds and some that she mixed up today sitting here doing nobody any good. The nurse handed me the bottle that was going in the iv when she stopped and told me to take this $1100 of meds and refrigerate it and if the doctor wanted to give her BP meds and try again it would be good for a couple of days. Now I have more meds in the refrigerator worth more than most of the kitchen. I was hoping, I should say praying that the meds would work and we would get to the roundup after all. I guess it must have been a selfish prayer. The meds were to boost her immune system. She has really been sick today. I guess the BP going up and then they gave her other meds also to make her sleepy. It didnt take long after I married that girl to find out that she was a battler and I guess that is still true today. She wants to come to the roundup so bad. I know I want to also but I want her there more than myself because she really loves all you. Not that I don't.
I don't think it is a selfish prayer at all! The round up is a fellowship of kindred spirits and what better way to spend one's time. Keep praying and I'll join you in that prayer that Bobbie will improve and be able to go and enjoy that fellowship.
Well doggone it, what a roller coaster, Jim & Bobbie. And I second what Zany said - nothing selfish about wanting to kick back and relax with folks who love ya. We're praying for you both.
WOW!!!! Not to interupt but your new grandbaby is very striking!!! A precious and wonderul baby. Sorry bout the rest............... Greta
Jim - Here's Zany's newest grandbaby: http://davesgarden.com/forums/t/453357/
Grandparents with more than one grandchild do not realise how very fortunate they are..our one and only now going on 13 [hmm l6] is all grown up and we feel as though we have hardly had time to get to know her properly ..not enough time, so it is sad for us having this cute perky loving little person around for a few short years and now she is all grown up..all 13 yrs of her, and I do not even know how to shop for her anymore [ I hate sending cash but not much more to do] We feel cheated [our oldest son does not have any children] but not much we can do about it now......
Thanks everone. Peterson my oldest is 14 years old male. He was here Christmas, lives across town, and left a pair of shoes. I called my oldest son to tell him he left a pair of shoes here and he said they weren't his. Come to find out they were my 14 year old grandsons. Just 13 at that time. They were size 12. I told him when he got 20 and wore a size 19 he would have a hard time buying shoes. They relly do grow fast. We had one of our sons that we had given up on ever having kids but he finally came through with two. Maybe it isn't to late for you.
Jim, I took my oldest grandaughter school shopping. I told her she could have ANY pair of tennies that she wanted. Doesn't that sound generous? Well, it only sounds that way - because she is wearing my size! At the rate she is growing she will out grow them before they get very worn. The flowers will be soooooo impressed to have such fancy tennies walking around them! It seems like only yesterday I was shopping for booties.
LOL at Yvonne. Now that is a thought. His birthday is the 22nd.
Jim, I think you could balance a dozen grandkids on those long legs of yours! Plus, if you got tired you could always have them out looking for peacock plants for Paw-Paw! ;o) Congratulations to you and Bobbie! Love ya, Carol
LOL you are a hoot (er) girl. Let's not tell the grandkids everything we know. They'll be black mailing paw paw.
Jim...nothing would please me more than seeing Bobbi...and you of course...at the KY RU!! Praying for her to get well enough to make it there. Love & Hugs
Jo
