Get my gallbladder out soon!

Glad it went well. Take care of yourself, everyone will understand. Gall bladder is not as big a deal as it used to be, but it is still major surgery. know you will feel better afterwards-I did.

Hello! I am feeling better but still feeling weak,. The doctor gave me very strong antibodies cause I am allergy to the surgial tools. IT will take fwe days for me to feel well and get my engery back. No lifting but I have been picking up Matt but the pain come back.. What a stubborn Mom I am! I should not lift him. I removed my bandage and found I have about 2 1/2 incision on my stomach and they use glue to stick my skin together.

DH have been helping me around here.. He took a week off from work to be with me and help me with Matt.

Okay, I better go sit down and rest and do my cross stitch project to kill my time.

Thank for update so glad to hear you feeling ok so take lot of rest becareful not to pick up Matt it might hurt you with pain more so take care of yourself and tell Ricky hi for us and love you all.

Hi Tricia!! How goes it now?? Hope you are feeling pretty good by now. Sorry I am not around to chat these days.

Tricia, you really should not be lifting Mat at this stage of recovery. It can cause problems later that you may not like very well. Like a hernia that developed because the muscles you had incised didn't get to heal before you started straining them. Remember, this is major surgery even tho it was laproscopic and same day. I'm glad you are doing so well tho.

What can be done for these health problems nowaday is just wonderful. My husband and his family all had gallbladder surgery. Like me he had the laprpscopy. His parents and sister had incisions from the sternum almost to their spines. Now that was major surgery!

I just had my gallbladder out 8-4 and still have to be careful how much I lift or it will start hurting. I had 2 incisions right at the waist line that didn't heal inside as fast as they healed on the outside. They became infected and split open again last week. I'm on antibiotics and they seem to be doing better now.

Here is some info I collected from my trip to the doctor about the infected incisions that might be helpful to some other people now or in the future. Peroxide is not selective about which tissure it dissolves. Diseased or healthy, it dissolves it. So don't use it repeatedly on deep wounds. Bactine is very irratating to deep wounds such as surgical incisions and slows healing. I had been using both on my infected incisions and that is why they got worse by the day instead of better.

I had a hernia develop at the belly-button incision from my laproscopic gallbladder surgery.I had surgery to correct THAT a year or two later. EvaMae's right on!
