I am wondering if anyone has a good method for storing pots? I have a yearly plant sale at the least, and need alot of them, so I recycle leftovers from people I know. It gets to be a huge mess with all the different sizes. Even with sorting and putting in boxes, it's awful. Our local arboretum has a kind of a "compost bin" made of wire with a cover, and puts the stacks in there. It would capture them from the wind, and make them more accesable than my boxes, but two drawbacks I can see. In Wisconsin, I may need the pots before spring thaw, and tried to keep them outside before, and they fill up with leaves. Also, it doesn't look the best. Any ideas???????? Thanks, Legit
Storing Pots
Hey, legit...You could send to me and I can keep them in my shed...but of course I couldn't be sure you'd get them *all* back. ;-)
Seriously, how many do you have on hand? I keep mine on a couple of shelf units in my shed and they're easily accessible when I need them.

I'm taking for granted here that these are those black plastic pots.
Arrange your pots according to size, turn upside down and run a long re-bar through the center hole of the pots and stick the re-bar down into the ground and the wind won't blow them away and they won't fill up with leaves if stored upside down. When you need a pot, just slide one off the re-bar or other rod material that you choose.
