Actually, you don't have to go "home" - anywhere on the site you'll see "Preferences". Once you've accessed that page, click on the "Member Page" link in the left-hand column.

Daisy and Terry,
well I almost got it right. I wanted a link to take folks to MY web page but when I enter the url. I'm getting daves garden too. In other words it doesnt work :(

There is a fix for that, but I don't know it.

Does this help?

charlotteda, make sure you're clicking on "Preferences" first.

Once you're on that page, you'll see a left-hand column of links

Choose "Member Page" from this menu. If you click on the Member Page in the top tabs, you'll see your public page, not the edit-able page.

Terry, If I go to my home page (here on Daves) and look in the comment box, I see my personal home page url. but if I click on it, it brings me back to my member page here at Daves, instead of taking me to my personal aol page. I know I have missed a step somewhere.

daisyavenue had the right idea - I wasn't reading your report correctly. I looked at your member page, and I think the problem is that in the first field, you put the URL rather than the title of your personal homepage. In the second field, there is no "http://" in front of the "www" in the URL - try these two edits and I'd bet your problems will be solved ;o)

Wasn't this a bug that was supposed to be fixed with the new rollout?

ya hooo.... Thanks Terry, It worked !

GW, this was a compound problem. The http:// issue may still need some tweaking, but I think this may have had more to do with having the link in the wrong field ;o)

I had the link in both fields but I didnt use the http:// because I dont have to enter it in my "window" on aol so I didnt but it in the field here . I'm blonde :) Sometimes more than others !
