Good ideas, Ulrich. I've done this (and a bit more).

Glitches in the system! :)
As they say, Dave, "You da Man!"
Thanks much.
Not sure this is actually a glitch, but when adding a new plant to the PDB, one used to be able to chose to add all of the data on one screen. That seems to have vanished in the new system... can we have it back?
It's still there, but you might have to click on "swtich to live view" (near the bottom) to get the "set all options" to display.
Thanks - didn't think of that...

When intering pictures in the ID forum, several times it says "it has been submitted" I then click on add to watch list, and then when I look later, it is not there on the ID forum. Most have gone through OK.
Thanks, trois
I found a *tiny* little bug. This is a browser issue - Firefox and Mozilla don't handle newlines in "title" attribute values. So if you mouseover the link for a member's name you see black blobs instead of line breaks between the registered date, zone, and location. Not sure how you'd work around this other than replacing the newlines with spaces if the user agent is Gecko-based.
Occasionally (twice today) I get a black blob below the last reply to a thread. When I mouse over the links the background turns white, but just over the link area. Does not repeat. Using FireFox 0.9.3.
Dave -
Can we get a Search box or option to search our own Journal on our own Journal main page? The search box that is there is for searching "ALL" journals not just our own. If I'm doing lots of updates to my journal I have to go back to my Home Page to get a Journal or RID search box. Would be nice if we could get to it from within the Journal itself.
The black blob issue is a known bug, in Mozilla I think. I experience it, too and have experienced it since switching to Mozilla in 2002. One day I'll get to the bottom of it.
Langbr: the "search your own journal" is available via the Custom Menu box. Go to Preferences, select "Custom Menu" and then enable the Journal search. Then go to "Custom Home Tab" and make sure that the Custom Menu is enabled. Then it'll show up on the homepage.

Dave - I already have it on my home page (even before the beta site went live). My point was that when I'm doing 30 or so updates to my Journal items it's a real hassle to go back to the Home page every time and makes sense to stay in my Journal. To me the home page is for navigating to other areas of DG, once I'm in an area I should be able to do the things I need to without returning to the Home page after every update.
Thanks! Brenda
Good point. I'm actually thinking of this:
when you are in the journal tab, the "Search journals" searcher is at the top. If you are EDITING your journal, perhaps that searcher should be to search your own journal?
Terry, what do you think of that idea?
dave
I like it!
Done :)
Perfect!!!
