Herbicide for ajuga?

Anyone know of an herbicide that will kill Ajuga and not grass?...or any other common garden plants?

I tore out my ajuga (the weed, as I like to call it)...and I threw it in the yard so I could mow over it and mulch it (being lazy...lol). So anyway, this stupid plant is now growing in my lawn and is on the verge of crowding out patches of grass unless I do something about it. Anyone know an easy way to kill it? I'd rather not have to keep pulling it out by hand.

ROFLOL I could see me doing something like that. Probably if you just use something like Roundup for broadleaf weeds should do the job. Just be careful not to use it on a windy day or you might lose more than the ajuga.

That reminds me of a time a couple of months ago when we were helping my mil look for a house to buy. This one house had loads of ajuga around the house and out into the yard. My husband and I were keeping our thoughts to ourselves about how to get rid of it if they were to buy the house. I mentioned something about the ajuga to my mil and she said "Is that what that is? Oh, I LIKE IT! I would just leave it there." Thankfully, they didn't buy that house.

deb, it can be. http://plantsdatabase.com/go/673/index.html I would probably plant it in a little out of the way place and let it go wild. It really needs to be planted as a ground cover. Good luck! If you have it in amongst your other plants, you might want to move it before it gets a good toehold.

A little late I guess but any broadleaf herbicide will probalby do the trick and not harm the grass (what kind of grass).
What if anything did you end up doing up till now?
