Neat job you've done there.

I was wondering,
what is that plant on the far right of the picture with the large leaf and dark green in color. The leaf has pointed fingers. I have it and don't know what it is. I would really appreciate your help in IDing it.

Hi rootdoctor,
Your stuff looks fantastic. I have no idea how you can overwinter all those tropicals here in Missouri!
Can you tell me what the plant is in the lower left corner of the "little side bed" picture? It is green with prominent white margins and really stands out (near rex begonia).
Also, do I see plectranthus 'Mona Lavender' in there, too? How much shade is that in? Mine was getting midday sun and all the leaves sort of turned up on it which I didn't like. I moved it to more shade a few days ago, but it still gets a lot of morning sun and dappled shade after that. Yours looks happier from what I can see.
Thanks,
Susan from the southeast corner of MO

Harrisville, MI(Zone 5b)

Toxi, that is a shade bed on the side,it will be mainly Hostas some day,I have to confess,I have no clue what that plant is,or the Begonia, they are my first ones.
I was at Family Tree GH,the day I was looking for Kelp and Superthrive, well they had all those plants,on sale for 2 bucks!
Except the Ear,I had to pay more for it,so if you can ID the Begonia and the one with white border, please tell me,I plan on keeping them as houseplants.I was knocked out by the one with white,I have never seen it before,it seems to like the shade.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Susan, I'm pretty sure he has plectranthus 'Mona Lavender' in that bed. Up toward the top of the picture. Mine grows in partial shade here in Iowa. Isn't that plant with the white edging gorgeous? I'd love to have a whole bed of those.

Navarre (NW FL), FL(Zone 8b)

Root,
That's exactly the one I was asking about. I love plants with gigantic leaves. What is it?

Harrisville, MI(Zone 5b)

Castor Bean,I have a few different types,I like the pure green best.

Fort Pierce, FL(Zone 10a)

Is that house next door for rent? I could never grow any thing as beautiful as your yard, but I would love to be your neighbor and enjoy the fruits of your labor. *grin*

Harrisville, MI(Zone 5b)

LOL,the house next door is empty, estate sale coming up,I may bid on the house,it will be cheap.

San Diego, CA(Zone 10a)

Root, your gardens are just wonderful. I cannot imagine the work it would take to maintain it in your zone.

The flower with the lavender flowers in the side bed definately looks like Mona. She is a shade lover. The other plec with the white margin is forsteri.

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

Everything looks awesome Root! Whatcha gonna do, buy out the rest of the block and use the extra houses for greenhouses? LOL

Harrisville, MI(Zone 5b)

LOL,You know the house next door needs a roof, and you know I figure it may as well be glass!

Thanks for the ID Frogs, since they were on sale, they did not have tags,I felt sorry for them and adopted them.
