Last Fall I planted some red and yellow Yarrow in full sun as suggested, now I see the blossoms are fading to a colour I do not appreciate. Does this always happen or just mine?

Yarrows blooms do fade out to different shades. Cut the faded blooms off, if you are not saving seeds from them.

Thank you Debby, I won't save the seeds, I prefer flowers keeping their colour.
